Root Ultimate Droid 3.1.1 finally arrives for the G2!

It's still there. Updated link in first post just in case it was messed up. Version is 3.1.2 currently. Still running sweet!

looks pretty sweet. I'm gonna let the devs work out a few more bugs like gps, first. Then I'll likely give it a try. 2.3.3? And DspManager!?!?! Ya I definitely wanna play with that.

It really is running fast and sweet... Haven't tried out the GPS since flashing this rom lastnight but I must say I have seen (ZERO) bugs so far.

I am using my G2 as my primary GPS and have had no problems so far.

As I understand it from the thread, the issue was a carry-over from cm7. The bug should occur when you switch gps off, then back on again. A reboot fixes it. Can you confirm whether or not its been fixed? If so, I'll probably flash it this weekend. Put it through its paces, and such...

homescreen > menu > settings > ultimate droid > input...then scroll to the bottom you will see quick key 1,2 and 3

Thx now its perfect, but sometimes I get Fcs on browser,settings and the launcher
Anyone know why?

I do not get and fcs on browser or settings and as for the launcher, I installed and have been using adw ex launcher from the time i flashed the rom and it works brilliantly.

I have been using for weeks now. No FCs and full functionality. I expected to have a few minor issues here and there like most roms, but UD has worked exceptionally well so far. Liking my G2 now more than ever!

Now on Version 3.2.0. GPS issue fixed, looking smooth as silk. I'm lovin this ROM. HIGHLY recommend it.

UD 3.3.0 is out for those of you that don't know and it is fast as hell even before overclocking.

I think I know what's going on. That website has changed it's domain name like 4 different times. I don't know what the most recent one is. I guess you can look up Ultimate Droid and try and find it. Sorry...

Holy crap guys... I popped in here to find out what the process is to root this thing for a friend of mine, and I gotta say that while all of you in this forum seem to be cool and willingly helpful, that there just aren't many of y'all. Oh man am I glad I have an evo... cheers to all you guys/gals and ill be back when I have my computer and her g2 in front of me...

XDA is a good spot to keep up on the latest ROMs for the G2...

More activity over there for this phone for some reason. Normally Phandroid forums are pretty active, but light on the G2 users it seems.

I am running MexDroids latest since UD disappeared. Smooth CM based. Not as tricked out as UD, but built on the latest builds.
