I use the physical potrait mode most of the time for texting while walking/driving but when im just around i really like the landscape. installed swype, it slowed my shit down so hard, and it seemed kinda pointless to me, id rather just type.
The physical keyboard is great for navigating cells in Excel spreadsheets with precision because of the mouse. Since I work with Excel on my Droid, the physical keyboard is essential for me.
Swype is just a blast to use and is the only keyboard I ever use for recreational texting.

Once you get through the learning curve, Swype rocks. In my opinion, Swype is not only faster, it is more accurate and a whole lot more fun than using thumbs.
i had never heard about swype before this topic and i thank you all. Been using it for 2 mins now and imo its so much better then the default keyboard. Excellent!
Trying to get ok with swype.... What is the generally preferred swyping finger? And, is portait or landscape generally preferred? I've been using my thumb with portrait one handedly, just cus I come from a Blackberry chicklet key phone... Sorta wrong huh?

So, I've been using it for a while (just practicing in a notes program, mainly) but I think I really like Swype. I'm not that good with it yet, but I think I'll get much better.
