Help Sending hotmail issue

I see unable to send email from Hotmail. I've checked the settings.. changed ports.. even deleted and re added the account.

For the Outgoing Server Settings use the following options (bear in mind quite a few of the boxes will already be filled in for you):
Login required: Make sure it’s checked/ticked
Username: Your full email address
Password: Your Hotmail password
SMTP Server: smtp.live.com
Security Type: TLS
Server Port: 25 & 587 (default)
Press Next

It will pick up fine.. just cannot send.I've tried over Wi-fi and my mobile network... it's a mystery.

Is anyone else having this issue?

I've seen so many people have issues with hotmail. Its very hit and miss on Android.

Personally I think its hit and miss anyway.

My best advice (which you may not like) is to auto forward everything to gmail and let that pick it up for you.

I know. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Nothing changes and it stops. Then it will start again.

I have always found hotmail difficult to integrate into e-mail clients whether they are PC or phone based.

I now just use Gmail as my main account and my O2 mail address for registrations & stuff like that.

Also there is no where near as much spam sent to me compared to when I had a hotmail account.

Agreed if you can change to gmail. The integration with Android is superb!!

Have you tried using your network operators smtp server? That worked for me.

Hi.. thanks for the suggestion. Sadly changing to my network smtp didn't work. I even tried manually adding the account and it seemed fine. By when it had failed to send he settings defaulted back to the standard hotmail details.
