Coating on kickstand peeling. Anyone else's doing this?

All the people I know with this phone have the kickstand coating coming off. Mine is as well. Sometimes I just wish HTC/Moto/Samsung would build an android phone that doesn't peel/bend/crack/ similar to an iphone.

My first TB has the plastic below the 4 capacitive buttons pop out, my second one the standby/power button is compressed to the point its almost impossible to feel it if you run your finger across the top. The lower volume button is impossible to press and has no tactile feedback anymore. This is quite possible the worst built phone i've ever used. I would even say the MOTO razor was a better build quality. My OG Droid had all the paint on the camera button rubbed off, the metal around the screen was completely trashy looking just from being scratched putting it in my pocket constantly.

Anyway - yes its build quality is about a D- in my book. I just can't wait for the kickstand to fall off soon cause I'm betting that will probably happen in the next few months. Good thing I get an upgrade every year. This sucker probably won't last till march next year but got insurance so i guess if it kicks the can i'll get a new one.

Forgot to add the creaky plastic where you naturalliy hold the phone with your right below the volume rocker if you hold it with any pressure it creaks and groans.

Add to it the impossible battery door to take off, lots of broken nails trying to open that sucker (what a fantastic design). I think they used my 4 year old nephew as a consultant for design.

o_O Ive never heard any creaking unless my battery door wasnt on all the way, and Ive never had an issue getting the battery door on or off. I take it off atleast twice a day because I run multiple batteries.

Might I suggest investing in a 2nd battery door? If the plastic clips on the TB are anything like they were on my HTC TP2, they'll eventually snap off.

And my kickstand is also peeling. I'm thinking about taking my phone to Maaco....

I got sick of looking at the coating on the kickstand peeling.
I used the eraser end of a couple mechanical pencils (without erasers on) to scrape off the coating. It took a long time but it was worth it because the phone looks a lot better.

I would give my TB an A+++ in build quality. Other than the peeling on the kickstand (which is NO BIG DEAL), my phone is perfect. Some people just like to nit-pick at their phone and turn it in to get a replacement at the slightest 'problem'
