HI folks. I'm wondering if there is a better battery available to buy for the Captivate that will last longer. I switched back to this because I miss this phone but the battery life is terrible. Anyone?

I doubt that the Seidio branded 3300mah battery and new rear cover is available anywhere for six bucks - more like $60. But it's worth it . . . .I get 3+ days on a single charge.

My Captivate is fitted with the standard battery 95% of the time. Gets me through a normal day, fits in my Samsung car and desk docks, fits in my case if I want to use it.
But for the rare day when I'll be taking lots of photos, videos or intensive app usage when I don't have access to a charger . . . I use the Seidio. I don't have to carry a pocketful of batteries or stop doing whatever I'm doing to power down the phone to replace a battery. Seems you always run out of juice at just the wrong time - no worry with the Seidio.
The GolfLogix (and most other golf) apps eat batteries if the screen is left on, gps running, etc . . . . but it's much more convenient to leave the screen on to determine yardage and keep score.
Those are my reasons . . . OK with you? And I had the sixty bucks to spend.

I bought 2 spare batteries and a wall charger on Ebay for $10 and it has worked out great. I was in Las Vegas last week and obviously didnt get much sleep. I had my phone with me 24 hours a day and always had another battery charging back in the room. The Ebay batteries dont seem to last quite as long as the battery that came with the phone but they are definitely good enough
