Root Optimus m 2.2.1 source code is out!

Well folks LG RELEASED the source code for the optimus m 2.2.1 kernel. What does this mean overclock capabilities for all versions of the optimus m. If someone else doesn't I'll release a new kernel this weekend. And change this thread

Frankly, I'll venture a guess that LG had a release date prior to yesterday but probably forgot and our requests simply got someone to look at their dev notes.

"Hmmm, hey Frank! Weren't we supposed to release the Froyo 2.2.1 source code three weeks ago?"

Since the source code is now out can't the folks over at cyanogenmod create cm for our phone, rather than having to go through the trouble of porting?

Maybe if they wanted to but perhaps they might not. We seem to have a number of willing people here already to do the job.

I'll be on tonight for a bit when I get back from school then I'm gonna redo my computer. Made the mistake of going all ubuntu but didn't realize till It was too late I need some windows in my life.

Quite sure we did good work everyone! I'll be working on a custom kernel as well as soon as I get the arm cross compiler acting right in slackware. Been working on my Ruby on rails environment as of late but its time to get back to some android buisness

I am very happy with my rooted Optimus M 2.2.1, but overclocking and optimizations would be sweet. YAY for source code.

I just compiled and installed my first working kernel from source provided by our friends at LG! So this is confirmation that this source does in fact work on stock 2.2.1. Time to add an interactive governor!

They may have got it but we appreciate all your work on this.
Besides I would love to see the teamchickeneater rom with overclock ability.
I love the cm7 but for stable everyday use the chickeneater is perfect.
