Re: Swype.... an earlier post in this thread and the zip is now out somewhere

Take a look here:

Hi everyone,
Im on apex 2.9 and . 591.
What's the simplest and painless way to update to rc1.
Thanks

If your baseband is .12P, you can flash the .596 deodexed file, wipe, and flash Apex. If your baseband is .07, then you have to SBF to .340 and 2-step update to .596.

LED's did not work for me, even when using Lightflow. Matter of fact lightflow was fc'ing.
Dialer is twonky. Could not pull up the keyboard to activate even when pressing the Menu button.
Arrow animations do not work during the downloading of apps or files.
Needs the dialer and contacts from Apex 2.0 and it will rock.

Just a few things I've noticed. Oh and Google Music was not working either.

I'm on another ROM for now until Fab gets things patched up.

Cheers.

After a while you should be able to sync your Google's account with the Music application.

The toolbox needs a lot of reworking coming from 1.4.1 to 2.0, it will be included in the final release.

Anyone else having the call log issue? My calls don't connect obviously, but they still get logged. Trooper, did you happen to restore any system data (i.e. Blur phone/contacts data to be exact)?

Fab,
I reinstalled RC1 from stock rooted .596 and got the call log back back working.
Installed BWC theme right after and got the error to reappear.
Restored a backup of RC1 stock and it works again.

Going to leave him a note and see what happened. Thanks!

BWC wasn't made for ApeX, it was made for Stock GB. Fabolous reworked a lot of AOSP apks to work in this ROM, and you are overwriting some of those apks using BWC over this ROM.

The error you are getting in the call log after applying BWC is most likely linked to the fact mentioned above, or a missing blur component.

Side note:
I think he removed something like 105 apks and added 22 apks that aren't native to blurred GB, some of those being AOSP dialer and contacts.

@ Fab,
Couldn't get vibrate to work with incoming texts using Google voice.
Remedied the issue by installing Light Flow.

I've come up with one problem while testing RC1 I'm still trying to solve....
I am unable to connect to my router or any other wifi requiring a password.
When I click to enter the password, I can type it in fine,
The problem is I can't connect because the connect button is constantly faded out.

Netflix is NOT showing up in the market using ApeX 2.0.0 RC1

I have the market settings set to show all apps.
I even cleared the market's cache, data button was already faded out.
Still no Netflix app in market. :(

Can anyone else confirm?

Of course Netflix doesn't show up, Droid X is not an officially supported device. Just get it from here. :D
