Release date: 6/24 nationwide; 6/21 for SP members.

I've seen this on the Internet that premiere customers will be able to get their evo on the 21st. I called my store that i have my phone reserved at and the girl said she wasnt aware of this. She said she would check, make sure and call me back.

I never did get a call back with any info. What's the deal with this? Have any of you spoke to your retailer about this?

Merged with main thread about release date:)

So today while I was out, I dropped by my local Sprint store. I talked to the rep about the Sprint Premier EVO 3D opportunity. I had to explain to him Sprint was launching it on thr 21st for Premier customers, and after he knew that, I asked him if I was eligible to take advantage of the offer. I am not the account holder or the main number, but the holder (my dad) is Sprint Premier Silver (should be gold, but I won't get into that....) Either way, he said something along the lines of on that day, I'm supposed to call in when I had the phone.

TL;DR Not sure in-store reps know what's up with the early launch, at all. I'll call Customer Service tomorrow and let you know.

I have emailed E-Care twice on this. Both times I was told if you order online on the 21st, you can have it overnight delivery on the 22nd.
So I'm still fine for upgrading? Nice. Now just one more thing that I need to know...

If the phone is going to be $199.99 as it is advertised and I have my 2 year upgrade ready to use on this, does that bring the price out of pocket down to $49.99? I've read the fine print beneath the price saying something along the lines of "for new customers and upgrades." Does that mean I still have to pay $200 or $50? That's a large difference for a kid without a job. :/

The phone will be 199.99 plus tax for you. The way it breaks down is something like this : The retail on the phone is 549.99. You get 150.00 off for signing a 2 year contract/upgrading a 2 year contract. Then they give you 200.00 in Instant Savings. So the final price of the phone out the door is 199.99 plus tax and any other fees.

The $199 they quote is the price after all the various rebates, including the $150 discount from getting your full upgrade or as a new customer. If you're selling/trading in another phone, that might knock that down further, but otherwise, you're looking at $199 if you're eligible for the full upgrade.

I already have 2 on order at the Sprint store with a 100 dollar gift card but if I knew a 100% for sure that I would get it on the 22nd I am tempted to order on the 21st too. The warehouse is here in Kentucky where I live and I know I would get it the next day. I have to return my EVO a few days before. If I return the EVO within my 30 days and pay the restocking fee and get the 3D do you have another 30 days again after that? Not that I want to get rid of the 3D I can't wait to get it and know it's going to be even better than the OG EVO. But with all these bad reviews but I am not letting that stop me from getting the best phone ever. I can't wait to get the 3D and I am not paying attention to Engadget.

Yeah you should also be prepared for the fact that your current plan will most likely increase price wise based on your current phone. Premium phones have a minimum plan of 79.99 per month (this includes the 10.00 premium data fee) plus taxes and fees.

I called Sprint just now and asked again and was told no you will not get the phone on the 22nd if you preorder. I asked why Premiere people got to order early then what was the benefit if we still had to wait till the 24th to get the phone? She said the benefit is you will definately get a phone in case we run out. If they run out those who didn't preorder won't get one right away. So I don't know who's right and who's wrong and I am not trusting ordering on the 21st I already have a preorder in at my Sprint store and I can just wait till the 24th. Thing is I have to return my EVO on Wed but I'll just use an old phone for 2 days..

I'm already on a Samsung Intercept, so I've already got that extra $10 a month premium data fee. So let's see, if I have $80 in my wallet, and my grandpa owes me $40, and my dad owes me $20, then I'm pretty close. Not bad. :D

Ok so i know its only a few days away from the 21st and iv been hearing the sprint premier members can order our 3D online the 21st? First off is this true? And if it is say we order ours on the 21st say in the morning that day will the phone not ship till the 24th or will we get it before the 24th? just trying to gauge if i should just go into the sprint store down the road or order it and get it early (hopefully)

all,

you can pre order in the store or anywhere you want to. you can also order the phone on the 21st if you are eligible to do so. one has nothing to do with the other.

i already pre ordered at bby when they first started pre orders and i plan to order thru sprint.com on the 21st. makes no nevermind how many pre orders you do.
