My droid x died while i was flashing a rom, i couldnt sbf back because i needed to have a battery charge. I found a solution...

I had to the same thing only I used my Droids stock wall charger and didn't leave it near a sink lol

He was plugged into a GFCI receptacle so being next to the sink was not a danger.

This will work if you do things right, but because you aren't hooking up to any protection circuitry, it can overheat the battery.

Still, works in a pinch when you need it to.

well coincidentally the charger was made for a 3.7v lithium battery and guess what, the droid x uses a 3.7v lithium battery

it charged just as a charger meant for it would

Any idea if this only works with Crest or can you use Colgate or another paste?

This doesn't seem to safe, is what folks are trying to say. There is a type of charger for the battery alone found here.

yea, i was just trying to find a way to temporarily charge the battery and it worked. i just thought that it was funny and pretty ghetto so i posted it. not trying to promote people to charging batteries like this.

) also the sink thing, it was not wet or had any water near it so that was not a risk.
