Root How Do I Stop the MIUI ROM From Changing the Default Keyboard From the GingerBread Keyboard

To the Android Keyboard?

Every time I re-boot my phone, it automatically changes the default keyboard to the Android Keyboard (Which was orginally the GingerBread Keyboard). How do I stop it from doing this?

That annoyed me too so I decided to uninstall the keyboards I didnt need. But you have to me S-OFFed to do that

Before flashing MIUI use 7zip to delete what you dont need...

Since always and still is. In fact the latest version I tried a couple of months ago had even got rid of the nag screen

I don't say this often as its usually subjective, but in this case your opinion is wrong

You cannot create .rar files in 7zip. Only zips. .rar archives are far superior .zip archives as its a better compression method, better way to split files over multiple zips or rars (although why you would create zips by choice if you didnt have to is beyond me).

No you delete the keyboard out of the Rom zip file then flash it

I have this problem with Cyanogen 7. I have Swype and SlideIt and often swop between the two. I also have an Android keyboard (that's how it's labelled) which was pre- installed on the rom. Every time I switch off or reboot, all my choices are unticked and only the pre installed one works.It's so annoying.
When I first rooted this phone, We did a factory reset and then we created a rom at Modaco, but because I used SlidIt we didn't include a keyboard. Then of course, we couldn't set up the phone or install anything, because we hadn't got a keyboard to enter the set up info.WE had to start again to include a keyboard.
So I guess they need a built in keyboard of some sorts, but I'd prefer one that wasn't so demanding!

It's the Rom file that you downloaded off the interwebz.
