Hiya!

I have a Desire HD with a 16GB intenal card which is rather full at the moment but am going on holiday soon and was wondering if I can connect a USB stick to the micro USB socket (using a female USB to micro USB adaptor) on the phone and if the phone will be able to read files. I have a TV series with loads of DIVX files that i'd like to take with me. Ideally i'd like to be able to just watch them from the stick using my existing video player programs or if I can mount the memory stick and use ES file explorer to move the files from the stick into my SD in the phone card as I make space?

TIA!

i think he means via a computer, plug ur phone and usb stick in a computer, then mount diskdrive, then using the computer move stuff off ur sd card and then move ur tv progs frm usb to sd card.

Because the whole point of this is I'll be on holiday without a computer and have a large amount of DIVX files I want to watch, too many to fit on my phones memory card. So I was wondering if I could use a USB stick as external memory. :)

Been there. I resorted to putting a few movies on the 8gb microSD card, and the TV programmes went on a 8gb Sony Memory Stick which I borrowed from a friend, and used via a PSP. This way I didnt have issues with battery dying either.

On reflection, I probably only watched about 4gb's of stuff, so I'd say, only take what you are definately going to watch
