[HOW-TO] Repartitioning the NC back to 1GB/data, 5GB/media - xda-developers
xda-developers - View Single Post - [GUIDE] Install CM7, Overclock kernel and Clockworkmod to EMMC (Updated:5/24/11)
Newer B&N Nook Colors with 1.2 software update now have the internal sd card partitioned to allow more room for books. You may prefer to restore the old partition method if you like more onboard space for your own files and don't need 5 GB for data (apps).
Other combinations are available:
Repartitioning is no longer needed to install newer roms.
How to tell before you purchase? Affected NC's have a blue sticker on the box.
How to check if you have the B&N 1.2 software version? You'll see "Read Forever" when you turn it on. The 1.2 software version by itself does not indicate a problem, but most new NC's will have this problem.
Sorry, I have not needed or tried this procedure so won't be much help with it.
