The Bionic is better IMHO because - its has a more RAM, bigger display, bigger battery, faster processor, better camera.....

Agree with sx4dude2013 except the processor and battery life. The D3 uses the same processor but the Bionic does seem smoother and the battery life seems to be the same. The D3 has a smaller battery but uses less of it since it doesn't have 4G.

Honestly, the biggest reason why you would pick the Bionic over the D3 would be because of 4G and if you plan to use the webtop application.

Smoother due to the extra 512 mb of RAM.

Maybe...but I've never been a person who thought having more than 512mb is necessary to make an Android phone (especially one on Gingerbread) run smoother. I'm thinking the smoothness is attributed to better coding of the software. Since the Bionic was released about 2 months after the D3, I'm thinking they had plenty of time to work out the quirks based on the D3 feedback. Hence, this is why the D3 is getting an update right after the Bionic launch.

Edit: When I said smoother than the D3, I don't mean a huge difference. Both devices are super smooth. I love them both.

It's good to see a user of both devices talking about the relative differences between the two.

As an aside, I'd like you to do me a favor (unusual request coming up :D): download and install "Abduction World Attack" from Market into both devices. Run it in "quick game, evil infinite" mode in both devices and post your impressions, please.

Having switched from the Droid 3 to the Bionic, it will really just come down to preference. If you want a physical keyboard and don't care about the lack of 4G then snag the Droid 3. I LOVED the physical keyboard on the Droid 3 and I find myself missing it quite often. But I've also only had the Bionic for a few days and am not quite used to only typing on a physical keyboard.

I PM'd you but screw it..haha. Is there a demo of this game on the market?

Yeah, it's just called, "Abduction," free.

Oh ok! I tried that on both the D3 and Bionic. It had the free demo for world attack so I tried it but it doesn't have the evil infinite level.
Looks like it's not formatting correctly. On both the Bionic and D3 it's cutoff on the bottom right corner? It's probably because they are both qHD? That's a total guess, though.

Edit: Also, the colors do look a little bit better on the D3 but other than that no issues.
