Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

has there been a fully working solution for the wi-fi sleeping problem yet?

unfortunately, no:

...
Several attempts have been made to resolve the Wifi lockup on sleep with it active. So far, no dice. One fix from a different related build was attempted but failed. This is a very serious problem in terms of finding it for a whole host of reasons and it is very hard to run down due to how it locks up.

There are a handful of other things I want to behave differently and of course the other bugs on the list, including the proximity sensor. That one is evading me right now as we're using the Froyo libraries. I suspect the only fix for that is to get off the Froyo libs, which may prove difficult - we'll see.

Not on this current build. The Wifi still sleeps on standby no matter what the user setting to avoid lockups upon wake.

According to the post on the first page, the priority for the next build will be the proximity sensors.

EDIT: Thanks Bryceb04 :) That was much more helpful.

But why?? It was working fine the way i have it, im starting to think that maybe it has something to do with the fix for the 3g dropping every time the screen goes off

Simply put those settings give you the best battery life, without sacrificing performance. (And IMHO, it is better.)

I have had no issues regarding battery life ever since the new update, and I think it is mainly due to the fact I always use those settings. I don't know why you are having issues now.

I know that smartass has had issues in the past (slow to wake up, slow down while asleep, ect.) but I think smartassV2 has made up for those issues, and is a much preferred governor over ondemand. I am planning (tomorrow) to do a test on ondemand and see how it compares.

My two cents? Try out (on a full battery) smartassv2 and see how it compares. I'm hoping you won't be disappointed. :)

Alright, so since I've been on 10/16, I'm noticing that I'm getting quite a few TOTALLY random reboots. Like I'll look over at my phone and suddenly see it's on the M logo. Also, like several other people I'm getting the bug where I turn the screen on and the backlight turns on but nothing visual comes up. I can still interact with the screen (slide the unlock slider, press on buttons, etc.) but can't see anything. I'm also getting a bug where I'll turn the screen on and the lockscreen comes up (without the TV-like screen-on animation, but the touch doesn't work. These require a battery pull in order to get the phone functioning again. This has only been happening on 10/16. Perhaps it has something to do with the new memory management tweaks? I've also been using the V6 Supercharger...I'll stop using that and see if there's any changes. I'm 99.9% positive that I'm not using any new apps that would be affecting that.

I've been LOVING CM7 and I appreciate all the hard work, but it's getting to the point where I really can't use it as a daily build anymore. I've seriously had to pull my battery at least 10 times in the past day.

Something is amiss in your setup somewhere. I`ve not had one random reboot in the entire time using this or the last build. Perhaps something is corrupted somewhere or got corrupted during the flash. Not sure but I just want to assure that there are people out there not having that issue.

I've had my first "crash" (not sure what to call it) after 2 days of using the first beta.

I was listening to music from sd card (on phones speakers) and browsing phone's settings, when i got 3 texts in a row (pretty quick) the screen went black. Had to pull the battery to get the phone back up.

I know its hard to replicate but maybe someone somehow will experience the same thing and we might catch a bug or a glitch.

ok, got a strange thing, when playing "contract killer" the phone makes a "hissing" sound all the time, and also rapidly clicks, even if the volume is all the way down. Also, when I exit the game, I have no 3G or cell service at all, I try to toggle AP mode, and it gets stuck, and will not allow me to turn AP mode off. I have to reboot.

It's looking like the V6 Supercharger may have been the culprit.

just something random in gingerbread that i found out last night called the "easter egg." if you go into setting ---> about phone, and press your android version like crazy... just keep pressing it rapidly. eventually you'll see what they call the "easter egg" of gingerbread.

A tribute to Halloween kinda reminds me of the zombie candy people episode on adventure time
