Do I have a problem with my screen?

I have not had my Galaxy S2 long but since day 1 I have been noticing that when the phone is on the lowest brightness, on some colours like white, the grey-ish colour of the market, and occasionally on photos etc the screen just doesnt look right, it looks fuzzy and like its not a solid colour.

Has anyone else had this? Could you do a test, make sure the brightness is at the lowest, go to google.com and see if you can see some fuzziness on the white of the page? I'm not even sure if its fuzzy, it just doesn't look normal!

Also my phone had randomly rebooted twice now, any reason why do you think?

I have to admit, that I have the same problem... especially on blue and grey background. I have some kind of small yellowish dots, looks dirty a bit. But I think it's the way it is. When I take a screenshot, on PC colors look perfectly solid.

Thanks for your reply, Anyone else? I don't just want to know if you do have this, I also want to know if yours looks fine when you do what I said in my first post. I need to know if this is an issue or just normal.

When i turn my phone into landscape mode, and load up google.com on the left hand side of the screen there is a slim bar where colours look okay but on the rest of the screen the whites are like yellowy or greenish colour this is with brightness at its lowest... but when i put it up full brightness that bar disappears, it also disappears when i take a screenshot and then view that pic on a pc....

Thanks for checking for me, Looks like maybe its just meant to be like that then cos mines exactly the same, unless some units are affected and some are not. who knows. thanks for your reply though

I tried this, but didn't notice anything. The colours appear to be fine for me. What firmware version do you have? It sounds like it could be a bug...

im running stock 2.3.4 - its just large areas solid colours like wjhite appear blurred and not solid, cant really describe it

I'm using 2.3.3.

Did you have any issues before you did the firmware update? This might of course not be the problem, but it's worth looking into.

I only got the phone about a week ago so its only ever been on 2.3.4 so not sure

Colors on the AMOLED screen change at very low brightness settings. I have noticed this on two different devices using the same screen technology. I do not think it is a defect, it is just where this technology is today.

Yeah I can see the same thing as mentioned in the OP. I haven't tried it without my screen protector but I gather it's the same thing.

I don't have too much of a problem with it though, I think it's just an Amoled thing.

Thanks guys! It doesnt bother me, especially as I always have my phone at half brightness anyway.. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem cos itf it was i only have another 9 days keft to send it back if it was a problem, thanks again
