Last night my tv was on, but the dish was off so the screen was just black. So i playing around with the rezound last night, and I found out that not only can I show pics from the rezound on my tv but some videos too!

I'm sure most of you already knew about this, but it was pleasant surprise for me. I do have my tv on my home network.

What other things surprised you about the rezound?

I have google tv set up on my network but other than that I havent played with this functionality yet.

Is there a guide/tutorial on this?

I dont have my phone at the moment, so this is from memory. Go into your picture gallery. You may or may not have to click on a pic. In the upper right hand corner click the icon. A box should come up asking where do you want output to go. I clicked the tv output and it worked. :).

I really like the ability to set a particular portion of a song as a ringtone directly from the phone. My incredible had the ability to set the song as a ring tone, but you were limited to how the song started. This is a cool feature.

Thanks I was going to dowload ringdroid but now I may not have to.

I also just discovered that we have the ability to print right from the phone. Pretty cool.

Does it print to a printer connected via Wifi or does it print a screenshot? If you have the Amazon App store installed, they were giving away PrinterShare for awhile. When I connect via Wifi at work, it finds all the printers in the network and lets me print to any of those printers. The only downside is not every printer driver is there, but relatively most HPs are listed. Kind of cool being able to print off emails with your phone to any printer in the network.

I haven't done it yet, I just saw the ability to. When you go to set up the printer, it wants an IP address, I didn't see any other options for setting up a printer. I have only seen the ability in the camera app right now. I will have to play around with it and see if it is available in more areas.

there are.

only HTC phones can do 3g and voice at the same time; every other phone can do only 4g and voice at the same time, NOT 3g.

Awesome, that is another vote for moving from AT&T to Verizon and replacing my iPhone 4 with a Rezound.

At times, I'm out of the office and need to talk with someone while we share screens in a Netmeeting session. I used the iPhone as a hotspot for my laptop and and talked a the same time on the iPhone and it worked pretty well.

I've gonna give this a try once I pick up my Rezound tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

lol, yeah that's a 4G thing. All Verizon 4G phones can do it. I think Verizon got tired of AT&T rubbing it in Verizon's face that their network couldn't do that.

While only 2 4G phones have the ability (Tbolt & Rezound) he's probably talking about SVDO (simultaneous voice & data over 3G only). Just like with the Tbolt, Verizon isn't advertising it on the Rezound because it may not perform to some people's expectations.

What happens is instead of voice OR data on 3G, voice goes on 1X and data transmits on 3G at the same time. With 4G enabled, voice runs on 3G and data transmits on 4G at the same time.

It's kinda a shame that Verizon doesn't offer it on their 3G phones. While it may not have the speed that AT&T users get, it might be worth it as an option.

oh WOW, so voice goes over 3g when 4g enabled and 4g gets enabled for data when you're on the phone?

does this mean 4g call quality is BETTER than 1x call quality?? i can't test; i don't have 4g here.

You should be able to do voice calls while only using 3G. I do it quite frequently at home. I personally don't notice a difference in call quality, but that's just me, and I'm not really listening for defects other than trying to make sure I can understand the person on the other line.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that google talk supports video chat (facetime style). I an not sure if this is old news, but I don't think my OG droid could do it.

Yea this is a feature that came with newer GB versions ( i think it was 2.3.4) and Honeycomb devices, tried to vid chat with a co-worker and couldn't cause he is still on froyo on his charge
