OK here's another CSR story from one of the bigger VZW Corp. stores i called in my area.
ME: I'd like to schedule an appointment to pickup the Galaxy Nexus this Friday.
REP: Oh, i see. You trying to skip the lines or something?
ME: No, i just heard a few other stores are taking appointments to pick up the device so people can schedule better around work.
REP: Hold on, let me speak with my manager. We don't usually have appointments for new releases
(Christmas Music with Droid Razr plug)
REP: Sir, I can take down your information and give you a call once more information is available.
ME: Sure, can i ask if you have gotten any stock in?
REP: No, we haven't yet, which is unusual for a device launching this week.
ME: I was told it was launching on either the 8th or 9th.
REP: Well, i guess if you've heard already, the 9th is the launch date but isn't publicly available.
ME: Did you hear that from online or from internally?
REP: I don't really follow online, it's all a bunch of BS.
ME: Do you have any accessories in for the Nexus?
REP: No, (he laughs) we don't have that in yet either.
ME: Ok and you don't think you're doing a midnight release on Thursday?
REP: No, i dont think so. We have never done one of those but i will probably have more information tomorrow and can give you a call then.
