Root [KERNEL][GPL][R910] Electric Sheep :: 1/29/12 :: OC/EXT4/perf/batt/Smartass/BFQ/OMG/WTF :: New SU

Hey k0. One thing...
ODIN-ing after this will return the phone to the stock kernel as well correct?
Correct, both Option 1 and Option 2.

What are you guys using to oc? Cpu master isnt working for me
SetCPU as linked in the FAQ.

Still don't wanna mess much with setCPU, set the minimum to about 6000, and see how it goes from there. This thing is so liquid now, it reacts... IT'S ALIVE!!

But the sound on the indulge is just WOW

I hooked up my indulge NOW(with the electric sheep mod) to a vizio soundbar and it blew me away, it sounds D-O-P-E ! !
You can set 100mhz as minimum without issue on most phones, 200mhz as minimum on all. There's never need to increase the minimum, only the maximum.

Glad you're enjoying the performance - there's a pretty good benchmark increase, on stock, without any OC. ;) EXT4 will be even better. And indeed, sound's great! I take no credit for that, Voodoo Sound is courtesy supercurio.

Yea this is really really good. People, please donate, k0nane deserves this.
Thanks for your support!

how do i get back to stock kernel???
Odin.

obv couldn't wait, but my phone had a mess of files anyways so after flashing, did a wipe instead and basix->elec sheep order of install (to mimic what I would have done order wise anyways). FYI no issue with install so far although I doubted an unactive phone woulda been too much an issue anyways.

P.S. on the basix side, reminding ya you never took out the .nomedia screwing up the ringtone selection in settings so you know

Hey k0nane... what settings would you use to o/c the indulge to save battery without much of tha battery drainage... plz nd thnx!

Awsome kernal by tha way... you rock at making our phones better!!!

*facepalm*

didja not read the post that was immediately before yours?

here it is again...

Is there any problem in underclocking in order to get more battery life? Or won't that happen?

It appears to me as if the battery consumption is the same everywhere between 1000 MHZ and 1300 MHZ. Why would I ever want to run at 1000 MHZ if so??

for help with undervolting...there is an app called Voltage Control on the market...
I am... very well aware. The problem is that some of the pieces needed by that app do not work. The technical explanation goes much, much, much deeper - so trust me, I (and others) did what I could.

How do you remove package blocking so I can use this kernel with stock...
You basically don't. There's no mod. Use Basix.

When I use the new kernel wit basix it makes my phone freeze up a lot an a lot of apps force close... is there a way I can fix that...
