Ah...surprised me! I didn't know...Tips thread

Yes, the only way I have found this app was by downloading "google gesture search", and making an "M" and an "I" with my finger to get it to show up... Other than that, I can't find it. It is a cool app however.

I used the search button (capacitive one) and it came up

I used circle launcher there you can set hidden apps

Yeah, I use animated contact widget and smart shortcuts and they both also show hidden apps. I'd bet any folder/app launcher app would probably do the same. Strange that HTC chose to hide some cool apps by default. same with the dialer and call history apps.

Btw, not really on topic but kinda related. I noticed for the first time today that the beats logo on the outer part of each earbud come cover with a plastic film that can be removed.

The Verizon/HTC desktop dock is pretty looking. After we dock the Rezound, this phone becomes an expensive alarm clock and weather station!! We can only do a few minor playback things while docked.... we can't get to emails/web/apps/etc.
I wish it was just a simple/passthru dock (without electronics inside the dock).

You can access those apps mentioned by pulling the screen down, the last 8 apps used will line up at the top of screen while docked

This my be a known one, but if you pinch the home screen it brings up all your screens in a cool animation similar to tapping on the home screen icon.

While in that view, you can long press a screen and move it to another's spot. This will change the order of your screens as you scroll left or right.

The Footprints app works great and gives the correct location! The Power widget replaces the four individual toggles that don't really toggle bluetooth, brightness, etc.

And last but not least, told to me by HelenofTroy08, flip your phone over when you are on a call and it will go to speakerphone. Great when you need it! (like in a car, handsfree State)

I have google tv set up on my network but other than that I havent played with this functionality yet.

Is there a guide/tutorial on this?

I too have a Google TV. In fact, mine just updated to Honeycomb. On my Rezound I fired up the media player with a picture then a video and could see where you can select output, but my Google TV is never found.

I went on a mission to find any documentation on this feature and found nothing. If anyone can find documentation on this feature please share.

Well I went digging around for more documentation on the above poster's query. I ended up at HTC's site, and I have to say it's a little unsettling from a support standpoint to see no documentation whatsoever on the rezound. However after scrolling through the phones they do have there, I think the closest match I could find was the Desire. Under the documentation is a section called "sharing media on your home network" which looks comparable to what is happening on the rezound. All of the navigation looks like it is flash-based so I don't have a direct link to the page I was viewing but here's a copy/paste of what I found. Appears that the sharing is through DLNA:

Sharing media on your home network

Sharing photos, videos, and music with a bigger circle of friends is easy on your home network. Simply connect your phone to the network and instantly show your captured photos and videos on a big TV, or start streaming your favorite music tracks on hi-fi speakers

Neat hidden widgets. How do you "plant" them on your home screen?
You can get the app Any Cut and do it. Open it > New Shortcut > Activity then scroll to the app you want, select it and hit OK. I did it with the Mirror app.

And last but not least, told to me by HelenofTroy08, flip your phone over when you are on a call and it will go to speakerphone. Great when you need it! (like in a car, handsfree State)
I'm trying to get this to work and having no luck. :(
