our phone doesn't have camera flash

No flash!? You gotta be kidding me! And I paid all this money for a phone with no flash?! How did I flash this CTMod then?! :D:p

Ok.. I know a bit silly...

Really, I had another question.. is there a chance we will see CTMod ROM and your themes available on ACS updater or will this be strictly for the CWM? Just curious.. and where might I get a list or directed to all the available themes for CTMod?

Thanks in advance.

I can submit them to the ACS updater, dunno how long it would take for them to be added tho

currently the only theme for CTMod is the WP7 Style i just posted lastnight

Silly me, just noticed that as I took a few steps back and started scanning through this thread again.. I guess I will wait for Simple Blue myself, seeing that it is my favorite color and all.. :D

I haven't been running this but for a few days and I am currently using my go launcher with a glass theme and it seems to be working perfectly. No hiccups as of yet that I have noticed. Reason I am saying this is, although I can't afford the bigger and nicer android phone, I have rooted a few other android phones and added custom roms to them and noticed a few things that didn't work properly, etc. on them... this ROM here has worked perfectly for me so far for what I normally do.

I am new to the A2SD feature and I am trying to use it now with this ROM. In the past I used the Link2SD app with Shabbymod .9 and it seemed to work ok for me.. but I noticed alot of others encouraging me to use the A2SD in lieu of Link2SD.. seeing that I guess it runs a little smoother and links to SD in one link in lieu of others? Is that correct? Not that makes a big reason for me changing it that way.. but if some of you more experienced Android enthusiasts say so.. I am jumping on the boat with you there.. I just need to figure out now if A2SD is actually working... for instance.. how do I know that A2SD is actually linking it to the SD card? If I remember correctly, whenever I installed an app on my Shabbymod with Link2SD after it installed it would notify my that it was linking it to SD card with Link2SD... I just haven't got that far.. but wouldn't mind knowing that it's actually doing.. etc.

Anyways.. I am sure you have your work cut out for you, Bloodawn.. excellent work, if I may say so myself.

Thanks again.

I probably won't be updating simple blue as http://androidforums.com/galaxy-prevail-all-things-root/461739-theme-ct-wp7-style-blue.html is pretty much a new version of it with a few changes

You'd probably have to ask inigomontoyasr or somebody about A2SD

I flash and wipe my phone too much atm so I don't use any of the app to sd mods. after i released ctmod 2.3 was actually the first time in around 2 months i installed some apps other then gmail lol

Ok thanks Bloodawn, for such a prompt reply. I have noticed one thing and I don't really consider it to be anything too harmful.. but what do I know, right? I have noticed that the USB debugging icon stays on no matter if I am USB debug enabled or disabled.. it just stays on. Not sure why, and not sure if this was something already reported by another user. Like I said, probably nothing major. I have tried rebooting the phone as well to dismiss the icon, but that did not fix it. Just to let you know. Anyways, thanks for all your hard work and dedication.

Please don't take this as me begging or anything like that, but was wondering if we could get some sort of idea of the status of the development on cm7? I'm excited about it, want to know if it's being considered to be official or what's being worked on if it you wouldn't mind letting us know...

Perhaps more importantly, is there anything I can do to assist the development? I'll be glad to be a guinea pig if you need it lol

You'd be better off asking in the cm7 thread, Last i saw hroark is pretty much having to redo it all for the new modem and kernel

hey blood its dog again with a quick question. if i update the prl will it kill the 3g tweaks you guys put in ctmod?

nah, you can update it

I went back to beautiful widgits today after not having used it since Shabbymod .8, I think. I had switched to Fancy Widgits which is also pretty cool, but then decided that I did not need all that stuff on my homescreen.

I have been plain vanilla since then, but I have been using Weather Bug Elite since before GB came out. Nice app.

Since GB (and maybe before), I have noticed that my battery life was not as good as when I first followed the steps laid down by New Optimus. I was getting almost three days without a charge. Now I am back to getting about 16 hours.

It looks like Weather Bug may have been part of the problem. Since I uninstalled it and went with the Beautiful Widgit on my homescreen, I have noticed that my battery is discharging much more slowly. As I said, I just did this today, so I will keep an eye on it. The decreased battery life has been about the only negative I have seen since GB and CTMOD. I know that many others say that CTMOD improved their battery life, so I have been wanting to take the time to figure out what app or other thing was causing my problem.

I love CTMOD and it makes my phone run like a champ. That paired with A2SD seem to be allowing my Prevail to run videos and Netflix with only reasonable interruptions in low signal areas. I had pretty much given up on videos before that. In areas with good reception, videos run without a hitch.

The Beautiful Widgit does look nice on my CTMOD home screen. And with the addition of the animated weather screen, it gives me all the info that I need in a snazzy presentation.

I was testing out your theory wyelkins as I use
