best antivirus, system optimizer etc.

You don't need a task killer. They do more harm than good. Lookout is a good app for scanning apps you download. I use TekTrac for stolen/lost device location and remote lock phone /data wipe. Smart actions are good at saving battery. Fast reboot Pro is also good for freeing up internal memory. You can even exclude the apps of your choice from the reboot. You never actually power down the phone. Just search for Fast reboot in the market. There is even a free version you can try before deciding to get the pro version. As for keeping track of memory and storage space check out the Scandisk memory zone. http://www.sandisk.com/microsites/MemoryZone/index.html
You are able to manage everything on your device (apps, music, documents, videos, pics, anything) move them to your SD card, internal memory, you can even upload to cloud services, Dropbox, Sugarsync, box, photobucket, or to your home PC.

Guys need some expert opinion on the best system optimizer, memory booster, task cleaner, antivirus, anti thft etc. for my RAZR.

there r hundreds in the market and all of them have same ratings and good reviews.....so very confused to choose the right one......
You don't need any kind of task cleaner or "optimizer" for the Razr. It has it's own task manager that works quite well.

The best way to "optimize" the phone in my mind, is to root it and carefully FREEZE the bloat and apps you don't use. Along with that, use a few basic smart actions and you will get very good battery life.

If anything, I hear a lot of positive reviews of "Juice Defender". But so far I haven't had the need.

As far as anti-virus, I've never used it on my Android phones and probably never will.

For those that do not use Anti-Virus you should read this.
Do I need antivirus software for my smartphone? - PC Advisor

In today's world people use their smartphones to do so much in their lives that it only makes sense that the cyber criminals in this world would be targeting these devices. They have all kinds of personal information on them that makes the data valuable.

But if you only download apps from the google or amazon marketplace and don't download things that are not sex/porn related from those marketplaces do you really have to worry? I don't go to random sites online that are not mainstream sites and I don't pirate so i don't see how I would get a virus.

Yeah i've read stories like that. Honestly if someone wants your personal data bad enough there are multiple ways to get it. I'm not really the paranoid type so i don't run anything.

I have always run and currently run Lookout on the phone. Not sure what, if any, good it is doing.

When I got the phone Verizon told me not to run any of these programs, however, they were the same folks that pushed task killers, so who knows.

Please elaborate.

I have had Android phone for 2 years, use loads of apps and have never had a problem with viruses or anything like that.

Did you read the link? Androids in particular are being targeted a number of ways. And to the earlier poster's point, it is incredibly naive to assume that getting apps from Amazon or the marketplace in some way protects you from malware or other malicious code. Of course these devices will be continued to be targeted as the world moves more mobile, and the PC integration increases (I'm looking at you, Motocast).

All that said, the first line of defense is still the user being smart about what they load on their phone. I'm just waiting for some hacker to activate the hidden code in Go Launcher to create mobile Skynet.

Have not had a virus on my PC in at least 5 years. Do not expect one on my phone. Why? Because I do not click every single link, download every single file that is available out there. If you are smart enough to use a smartphone, you should be fine too.

Hackers just love you guys that say you'll never use an antivirus.
Do you really know of anyone that has received a virus on their phone (that wasn't an idiot?). I never have.

+1
I don't run AV on my Mac's, any Linux machines I've used, or my Android phones. I have never had an issue.
