Very annoying!!! I cant acces my home screen witg all my apps... When I press the home button it takes me to a screen with the time, weather and a close button at the top, a sound profile button and a shortcut of apps at the bottom thats scrolavke from left to right... When I hit the close button it just takes me back to the previos screen I haft to hit the back button like 10 times to get back to the actull home screen

My home button behavior didn't change with EL29. One press takes me to the last home screen I was on. A second press takes me to the center home screen. I believe this is the way it is supposed to work.

Ron

I never customized my home button behavior, and one press has always taken me to the center home screen, and the long press brings up task manager. Exactly how I want it too.

Mine started doing this on Feb. 4th. It is the most annoying thing i've had to deal with in a long time. I'll post back here if I find an answer.
So far i've tried these apps to change the function with no success, but Go Launcher EX is better than the normal home screen:
Home Manager
Go Launcher EX
Home Switcher

Before EL29, this is how mine was. Now it jumps to screen 7 (far right) on the first press, the center screen on the second (and the program manager if I hold it).

If you have Voice Command on but don't want it on - go to menu/settings/applications/manage applications/all/find the voice command - clear the cache and it will do a force stop automatically (mine did, if not just chose force stop). I googled vlingo and found this - I have never activated mine but did this anyway. It says that it should keep it from turning on.

That particular screen is the desktop dock home screen. You can get to the same screen by tapping on Clock and then sliding to the rightmost (hidden) tab. I've seen this reported before but haven't seen a solution. Somehow it thinks it is plugged into the desktop dock.

Exactly, it's the docking app but I can't figure out how to turn it off. I'm having the same problem in that I can't get to the home menu. Anybody figure out how to turn this off? I power cycled a couple of times but no change.

I tried a lot of things before I ended up power cycling to get mine to go away. Try clearing the cache on the twlauncher then power cycling.

Thanks for that.. your right

just got off the phone with tech support. the pulling the battery out didn't work for me but using the service menu (from the keypad dial) ##72786# then 866879 and OK does a soft reset which is probably the same as pulling the battery but it seems to have worked for me. good luck.
