Root [THEME] MS910 LD-ICSK v2.4 {ZVD} [ICS Hybrid]

Okay so I just flashed this ROM to my esteem and was able to download 2-3 apps fine from the market Quick boot/Gemini/CPU master. But now when I attempt to download an app it starts downloading fine, once it finishes downloading and it should start installing it does the little loading bar accross the screen and says "Downloading" forever but never installs.

A light bulb went off in my head- "Restart"
I did that and for some reason my home screen was rearranged. The app that I just started downloading before I restarted installed right away, I attempted installing another one and have the same issue.

I see you downloaded Gemini. Did you disable the markets auto run permissions? I did this before, trying to keep it from starting up and eating battery, but it started doing exactly what's happening to you.
I don't know which auto run causes that, but re enable them and this should fix your problem.
Alternately, you can just go to running services (in settings) and end the process after it's done downloading. After you close the market process, open it back up and it'll start installing your app

EDIT: 300th reply!

Ick has a smaller battery mod maybe you can use and he needs help fixing the Bluetooth... oh and my swype won't update to the latest one with dragon, it did before but since 1.2 it wont update

feel free to pull any of the icons from my theme, I shrank all the main status bar icons (battery, signal, data, and wifi) ... the battery is the most noticeable

try clearing cache for google and market.. if not than i will look into it... something strange happened when i updated rom to 1.2

normally with 1.1- you would sign into google and have to manually update your apk's... but now with 1.2 as soon as you sign in it just automatically updates apps and i hate it.. because i always have to un-install google search updates to keep theme lol

hopefully thats not in ca-hoots with your market issue.. ill def look into it thanks for the Ka-naw-ledge

After upgrading to 1.2, I noticed that there are a lot of areas (buttons mainly) that are dark grey on black and difficult to read. Please tell me this isn't part of the ICS "design..."
no... lol sadly r is just part of my crappy modding skills... it was so much easier to change font color with froyo roms lol im still trying, just been kinda busy.. sorry lol

Ahh yeah. I know what is this. Did you disabled market or any system app startups from gimini app manager ? If so try enabling it.

So then how you make them bigger?

The 1.2V comes with the stock LG Launcher which does NOT allow for dock customizations at all. The only way you can rearrange the dock is if you install a 3rd party launcher for this ROM.

na you can move different shortcuts on and off the stock launcher.. just open app drawer than press menu and select manage apps, then drag whatever you want to the launcher... and to get the application draw opener (app/home button) just open the widgets menu and search through shortcuts, its one of em... lol you can drag that to any spot on launcher as well...

i almost want to say screw it and make this a theme.. but i dont want to step on anyone's toes... kane started his first so i would much rather work with him and make the perfect theme lol but i already started a damn thread like an idiot :D

are you still looking to change the color of the clock in the status bar?

its in systemUI, /res/layout/status_bar.xml

there should be 3 sections, one for the date, one for the time, and one for the ticker.

you can change the colors individually.
could have sworn i tried that, but ill feel stupid if that works lol
whats your color code?

It was my fail on the auto run.. Thanks for the replys and helping out. My work around was to download the app, then reboot and it would install when I opened up market again. :p Pain in the ass.. If you find a way to fix that auto update let us know :)

What program do you use to edit the .xml file. I want to learn more and I am very curious. Thank you for your help.
