I have the GNex and my wife got the TBolt. From day one I've been modding to get better life out of my phone. In the beginning her phone sucked, but is now freakin awesome!!!

I got a Rezound battery for her phone, and it helped a little. But then as a last ditch effort before returning it, I rooted her phone, flashed Skyraider 1.3 and lean 5.0.1, and now this is where her phone's at.

After about an hour and a half on the battery, and an hour of screentime, it's still at 92%. I wish my nexus could touch that battery life.

I'm running a Franco kernel on my Nexus... maybe I'll try a lean kernel, see if I can get that same magic.

ive not been terribly impressed with battery life on my nexus, either, tho i havent tried alot of different roms and kernels on it.

i am pretty impressed with battery life on stock rezound. right out of the box its not much worse then my TB runing AOPS  its really good for a stock sense rom.

best battery i get is my TB with cm7 and leankernel. sometimes i can get thru a whole day :D

Is this an app you can download ?

Lol remember when we all first got the tbolt and we all complained about the shi*** battery but gradually over time there were less and less "the battery on this phone sucks" posts? I'm still holding out hope it will be the same on the Nexus and as time goes on the devs can get us reasonable battery life.

Sadly, the T-bolt battery *still* sucks. The upside is, our crappy battery life is on par or better than other phones that also have crappy battery life. woot.

I realize we ask more of our phones every day, but the battery situation has to change before we'll cross another plateau. It kills me that the focus in the industry is delivering bigger screens, dual-cores, brighter colors and a 12MP camera when all most of us want is to be able to use 4G for a few hours during the day and not have a cratered battery to show for it.

It seems the industry is headed towards DO ALL THIS COOL/AWESOME/GREAT STUFF...for a couple of hours...then you need to charge the device.. :(

When i first got my tbolt, it was complete crap like everyone else. However, after caressing it for so long and flashing BAMF SoAB on there (with sense 3.5), this phone is an absolute beast. I've been using the 1700 extended battery life since it was released and my phone lasts the day on moderate use. As I write this, my phone's been off the charger for 15 hours and is sitting at 25%. My girlfriend's nexus on the other hand . . . complete garbage battery life.

I officially, have NO complaints about this phone anymore. Nor do I ever have the urge or curiosity to flash another rom in hopes it gets better battery life because the phone is perfect now.

So you flashed a community created ROM and a community tweaked kernel *and* purchased a larger battery/back panel and then the phone worked for 15+ hours.

Where can I buy a cheap Rezound battery for my Tbolt? or perhaps a coupon that I can use for discount price? Money is a little tight on this end... :p

Amazon has them for $17 IIRC.

For me I had 60%-70% battery at the end of the day in my bolt. On the nexus I have 50%-60% so it doesn't really matter. But the bolt did have a bit better battery.

How do you manage 50-60% battery at the end of the day? I'm lucky to get 8 hours w/ AOKP, imos latest kernel, auto brightness, and 3G only.

Oh and so I have justification for posting this in the tbolt forum, here's a response to another post:

Ya its still bad but it got better as time went on and devs figured out what worked well.

My phone is in airplane mode most of the day, I can't use it at my desk so there is no reason to keep it trying to connect

Don't use auto brightness that will drain faster. People set to about 40 percent. Don't mean you will see a noticeable increase bit every little bit helps

An extended battery for the Bolt is a must. I can go all day and then some, playing w/ my phone the way its supposed be played w/ etc. cause I can't stand the guys who say I got 3 days out of my battery, but I never picked up my phone to use it once  Well thats great, your phone sits idle all day and you get great battery. I'm running Airborne by Infected(currently doing a backup to flash the updated version) w/ a ziggy kernal.

I just recently went on a trip to Canada and turned data off. Talk about battery life. I probably would not of needed to charge my phone for like 3 days.
