Giving up my droid to be........A fanboy. :)

really? you bet? you don't know? so you think that proves him wrong with you betting?

-Apple's App store destroy's Android Market, and using the argument that it barely started isn't valid, because the fact remains that Apple's is better for the most part. I will say that Android Market has it's ups, but not enough to overtake Apple's.
haven't seen it but i dig android market

haven't actually seen it but this also proves him wrong?? how?

-Pinch to zoom works so much better and is implemented in a lot more than on the Droid.
thats is getting changed, google and apple had an agreement that no longer exists

Again, so how does that prove him wrong? how is droid better with pinch and zoom by your response here?

-Email is far better
not gmail, which is what i use

because you only use gmail? how does that make email better with droid? oh, you mean just for you? so you think that proves him wrong? seriously? seriously?

-Camera is actually functional and doesn't take a year to take a picture, and the better quality that we should have doesn't even show!
ok, i can sometimes give you this one, i have taken amazing photos with my droid, but not all are good quality

With those said, I still prefer my Droid by far, but to say the iPhone has no advantages over the Droid is a little odd.

Ok now, this reminds me of watching one of those talk shows where they bring on a severely disfigured kid and they try to cheer her up by telling her that other kids just pick on em cause they are jealous.
I have the droid but im not going to be a fanboy and be delusional and say it to be this super duper phone its not. Ill just stay realistic.

Pacific Raceways [/b]390414]This thread has nothing to do with a mac or a pc. Last I checked we are all on an android forum and the OP was about an Iphone. Please please please stop posting in this thread (as I just did) and let it fall back into obscurity. If you like macs enjoy, noone cares, same goes for pc.
@Pacific Raceways: I second that! go sell your apples somewhere else.

I must say there something addicting by the way an iPhone's ui is like a spring, almost rubbery. Will the Droid react like that at some point.

I was playing with an g1 developers phone the other day and I realized that the homescreen transitions were a lot smoother then my droid even though the specs are so much lower. Got me thinking that the reason the droid seems laggy on the homescreen is probably due to its higher resolution screen then compared to the iphone. I am sure the OS has alot to do with it but I feel like the screen is a big factor

Lol you make me laugh. Typical apple fanboy.

You think Apple's don't crash? I've gotten a BSOD on an apple before (it's called kernel panic).

You know what the Genius bar recommends when they're too lazy to look for a solution? They wipe your computer and re-install:eek:. You know what happens when you send in your Mac for an extended repair? They wipe your drive and re-install.

And saying that a Mac just works is utter crap. I've had Macs crash, macs fail right out of the box, macs not install software, etc,etc . I've probably worked with more Macs than you'll ever touch due to the nature of my work and believe me, they are not flawless. And let's not forget to mention the recent 27" iMac problem. Had 30 of them defective and had to bring them all back to the Apple Store and be told I'm out of luck because they hadn't found a solution yet. So much for it just works right?

PCs these days and even back then in the XP days were fine. 99% of PC problems were user error. I've never had a PC BSOD on me that wasn't my fault.

It's fine to like and use a mac but saying that it just works and that it's better than a PC when 99% of the problems on PC are user error, you're just another typical Apple fanboy. The reason why people think Apple just "works" is because you're not paying for the software, you're paying for the hardware. Their stuff works because they only have like what, 5-6 different models of hardware that will run their software (legitimately, not Hackintoshes) while Windows has to support virtually any sort of combination of hardware you can come up with. Windows has thousands of PCs it has to support. Macs have what.....6? Not to mention they left behind their PowerPC users with the release of Snow Leopard.

@soulesschild;Wow!! somebody tell him.:eek:

Sorry, but the only thing soulsschild "told" me is that his experience is different from mine; albeit, his occupation requires him to handle many computers.

That said, we all have biases... I'm sure that for all the computers he has handled through the years, there are more problems with pc's and fewer problems with Macs. soulesschild only gave us examples of problems with Macs and conveniently left out the problems he's seen with pc's.

I know from my own experience, Macs are better than PCs - way better, Macs do everything better, without crashing, and without problems. I don't care about computer games... PC can have those - I care about doing the things I do with ease and without having to constantly tweak my machine or fix the problem of the day. Apple does it for me.

A lot of you PC geeks would be much less uptight if you would become fanboys.

fanboys are horrid, i may only love nintendo. defend it til death, it works nice.

but mac, dude, i am sure there have been probs, you will get a prob. pc's rarely have them now. like i said, i don't use windows often, but i would choose it over a mac. and like another user said above, give me 2500 to put towards a pc, it wouldn't blue screen, EVER, it would do EVERYTHING better than mac and it wouldn't go obsolete for years to come

Putting $2500 into a PC is something I would NEVER do... it would not be near the quality machine that the same money would buy in a Mac. Personally, I think if you really had $2500, you would do what I did and buy a Mac - the number one rated computer for customer satisfaction.

The problem with your argument, true or not, is that your entire argument is based on "I'm sure" and "I bet" statements that really don't mean much. Your experience doesn't apply to all. I'm glad Apple has served you well for all of your computing needs. My computing needs are to not spend more for something than I need to. My Windows PCs that I put together myself with the best bang for the buck components meets all of my computing and gaming needs for a lot less than a Mac and I too have not seen a BSOD that I didn't create since my days on Win 95 and Win SE (which both coincidentally were bloatware purchased computers). I don't see this 1-year slow down on my Win PCs but it is more evident in my experience on store purchased PCs. Perhaps the faults now lie more with all the bloatware installed on a purchased PC as compared to a purchased Mac. And let us not forget the user error that plagues so many people I know that ask me to fix their computer after it is loaded up with spyware from downloading "free" mp3s and playing "free" games.

It is undeniable that $2000 on a laptop or PC goes a lot farther in the land of Windows then it does in the land of Apple. Macs intrigue me, but I don't need to spend $2000 on a lappy when I can spend $1000 and have all that i need. I can put together a PC using bang for the buck items for $1000 easily. For the majority of people who just want an internet PC, spending for an Apple is just ridonkulus.

Your ignorance shows more now than ever. Macs use the same hardware as everyone else. Their $2500 Mac Pro can easily be outdone at anything by a $800 or so i7 system. $2500 on a custom machine would give you a computer almost too epic for words.

Of course, you obviously wouldn't know anything about that though, Mac users are blind to the fact that they are being bent over and forcefully raped by the price of Apple's garbage.

OMG you should have quit while you were ahead, playing the "if you had as much money as me" card.
Said it before and I'll say it again, just like a Harley and/or bose owner.

I am going to plead one last time. Go to a MAC forum! Is this how you get your jollies? By telling us how great macs are and how they serve your purpose? Being a consumer in our wonderful country means you can go out and buy whatever you like. But your constant bantering about how great your mac is likened to you trying to convert someones religion. Go to a different forum and post your heart out. This post is not the place. But having to do with the OP getting an Iphone, as I have already said, get whatever you like. We love our droids and everything they do but for some reason he has decided to switch. Bye bye then and enjoy. For your sake I hope you done get uh oh I'm broken symbol as so many people I know with Ipods/Iphones . And I bet you cant boot into SP recovery. Find your nearest apple store and make sure you wallet is fat when you do.

yep, i spent 700 dollars a few years ago and built a PRETTY SWEET desktop, never had an issue and its only now dying, after probably 5 years of use, maybe a bit more... no it would have to be more, its probably 7 years of use :)

if i have 2500 now-a-days OH MY YES! PLEASE! I don't even know what I could buy, it'd be amazing, bigger hard drives than i need by far, all raid. I would probably throw linux on it, save myself 100 bucks. gah the gfx card would... ROCK! wow... it'd be so bad ass plus i could probably spend 300 and get someone to custom build it, i mean i can, but i would have left over money i bet SHEEZ!

Wow, epic fail dude.

That's cool being a tool to Apple, just know that your belief that things that cost more must be better are only costing you more money in your lifetime. Apple is better for you, and that is fine, but it's definitely not better for you because it costs more. And to think that a Mac uses anything other than the same hardware in a PC, well that's just laughable.

I think I'm done here, it's pointless arguing with ignorance, LOL.

I never got how people get this idea that Macs never have problem. My mother must've spent a couple grand on her Mac a couple years ago and it's slowed down to the point of being useless. However, my HP computer was only 600 and it's still running smooth and her new Macbook is about the same speed as mine and again probably a couple grand more. The only thing I like better on the Macbook is the hardware not the software. It's like buying a product for the image such as Prada or whatever. You buy a Mac and you get a gleeming Apple sign to showoff that says "Look at me I have the money to spend on junk like this!" That's just how I feel about it I don't get it.

What would make a grown man come to an Android site to say he was going back to the iPhone?

Have you ever told an ignorant person something that you knew irritated them just to watch them get angry over essentially nothing...hmmm I guess it worked on you didn't it.

I don't see anyone here being angry. I just read a lot of people confused by your lack of good judgement. Now, go away like you said you would. And tell your wife to post a pic when she introduces herself so we can see what a disappointed woman looks like. :p I have a feeling she'll be wearing pants. Since you don't. ;)
