Hey everyone :)

I've been reading around this site and XDA for a couple of days. Nothing I read seems to be working / links not updated, but I think I just got closer.

Fair warning, I am an absolute noob about this. I'm fairly decent with computers, but Android stuff is foreign to me.

Basically, on Tuesday, a friend at work linked me:(breaking links since i am limited, sorry) wiki.cyanogenmod.com /wiki /Samsung_Galaxy_S:_Full_Update_Guide

I decided, during work, "sure, what the hell, let's do it!" because I read reviews about increased battery life, decreased lag...etc, so cool, sounds fun....HA!

I got to the end of installing the first step of the Clockwork Recovery Mod, (I flashed the kernel via herm, and saw the blue progress bar on my phone in download mode) it rebooted the device, and I entered a perma boot loop.

So I naturally assumed I ****ed up. I read posts about VOL UP + HOME + POWER for a recovery mode, and when I try that, I get the i9000M loading screen frozen in place.

I then tried downloading original kernels for i9000M (i think, despite many non working links) and tried flashing via ODIN, but i never saw the yellow background cell color in the ID:COM section at work.

I gave it to my coworker from work, and he mentioned he was never to get ODIN to detect it.

Brought my phone home tonight, and I am trying the process again from home. Magically, I saw the yellow highlight in the ID:COM section, saying Phone Added!

These were my settings, and it's been like this for over ten minutes. So I am assuming this isn't working either.

Hmm, can't post images as first post :x s14.postimage .org/ 4kdwqjaqp/ odin.png

I am so frustrated, I am about to throw my phone against a wall, despite for the small chance I cling to that my phone isn't permanently bricked.

Anyone able to assist me and end this frustration?

Thanks for your time,

Mike
