Okay, I've been searching and searching for ways to backup my current ROM on this phone. I tried ROM Manager, but this phone isn't supported, so I tried using the i9000 ROM Manager, but it hangs when trying to backup my ROM. So I don't know if I really want to test another phone's settings incase it does worse damage.
So is there any way, maybe using a computer program, that I can backup my current ROM image? Wouldn't it be the same if I were to simply copy all my files from the phone's memory to a folder in my memory card using rootexplorer, then convert the folder into a ROM image? If this is possible.
Also, does anyone know any guides to installing froyo or gingerbread on this phone? I don't want to wait until April for Apps2sd, Samsung's updating is horrendous.
