Root [ROM][WIP]CM7.2.0 RC1-BobZ

Can one of you try this one: CM7.2.0RC0-MS690-BobZhome-020212.zip
to see if it boots?
Also how old is your phone?

My phone also got stuck on the silver LG screen after installing the new update.
It is from May 2011 and came originally with 2.2.1
Works just fine with this link, I'm so glad you made another version :D (I would think you would have it on the initial post for anyone else with this issue)

Keep up the good work!!!

EDIT:
Finally booted: I love the animations!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

So I've been lurking the android forums for quite a while now and i've successfully rooted my optimus m and installed this rom the only problem is that its keeps rebooting alot mostly when im doing something that uses wifi data like market or browser or something. this has also happened with reppards rom but not with kelsos rom. I like both reppards cm7 and bobs cm7 but on both i get the reboot and crashing :( any help?

drop the overclocking a notch and see if that helps...:)

Hmm which one do you recommend to fix the wifi?
.....and i really hate the pain in the butt and such a noob but im also having problems with MMS (how surprising), i can receive pics but i cant send them! :/

I'm not able to send any pics either, ever since I got the phone I only succesfully sent one pic on 1x on joneidy's Sense ROM, then I found Cyanogenmod for this phone and never went back to Sense ROM....I sent a pic on kelso's ROM just fine as well, it took 10 seconds....it must be some APN setting in Cyanogenmod not programmed correctly or something. I'm not sure what it is but it must involve some kind of deep programming that hasn't been found. I just don't get why some people can send pics and some can't.

by default my overclock is set at 600MHz so that means i would have to go down to 480? I'll try and keep you updated. thanks for the tip
You shouldn't have to go lower than 764MHz. Get a terminal emulator from the market and type in this:
su
fix_permissions
reboot

Note: Hit the enter key after each line.
When it finishes(it will take 5-7minutes some times) reboot the phone a couple of times.

The problems you are experiencing are caused by a bad app, or one that's on the sd card that needs to be moved to the system.
This should help. If not go to: menu/settings/about phone, look at what app is taking up a lot of your battery. Also go to menu/settings/applications/running applications, look at all the ones that are running and move one at a time to the system and try to duplicate the conditions that made your phone reboot. If it doesn't, that is the misbehaving app. Try each one until you find the one that's misbehaving.

I am glad that there is at least one ROM for the Optimus M that is still updating regularly. I used to be on Reppard but I had some issues with the accelerometer. I am currently with the 11/13/2011 version. I will flash the new one today.

Edit: had the same issue with the Lg screen...used the other link and it worked perfectly. I bought my phone about half an year ago. Why don't you include the link in the main post? It was a coincidence that I saw it, when I was posting my original message. Otherwise I would be stuck.

I have the "insufficient space on memory" error. I tried market fix and link2sd and it worked for a few downloads but eventually I would get the error again. I have 171mb of storage left on my phone and 736 mb on my sd card, so storage is clearly not the problem.

I had that same problem but nobody had any solutions posted. BUT, I figured it out. I just installed flashable a2sd scripts that I had found online (I take no credit). Wipe, flash: kernel, script, and R.O.M. After a very LONG first boot I installed A2sdgui from the market.(just to be sure)And I've been happy ever since.

You can download it straight from my Box account @

how can i enter service programming menu using this rom cz ##626* doesnt work using this rom

You must be on stock ROM or a stock-like ROM or Joneidy's Sense ROM.
Cyanogenmod is not known to have the programming menus so backup your cyanogenmod, flash one of those ROMS above, reprogram, restore cyanogenmod.
Alternatively, you can just use QPST. There is a guide somewhere on here on how to use it with the Optimus M, idk where though.

Anybody have caller ID working with this rom? My contacts come up fine its just I need to not answer telemarketers and bill collectors.

And also will there be anymore releases of this rom in the near future?

Did you get a text from Metro about their new Block Calling service? It may come in handy but it's a dollar a month for it. I know there are apps that can already do the work, but I think there's only one that can actually block a call at the hardware level.

Still, a blocking service at the network provider level is much more preferable.

So, a little bit weird. I'm running my Optimus M with the 20120116 version of Bobz CM7.2. This morning my alarm didn't go off at 6:30 as expected. I was curious why. The clock in my status bar says, i.e., "10:55" which is an hour behind (didn't adjust for daylight savings). When I go to Settings:Date & time the "Automatic" option is checked and the "Set time" shows "11:55." Also, in the "Clock" app, the time shows 11:55. I have "Quiet hours" enables which end at 5:00, so if the alarm went off based on the status bar clock it still should have gone off. Seems like a conflict between clock and it didn't know whether the alarm should go off or not.

Any ideas about what I'm missing and why the status bar clock is incorrect?
