beta 5 alrdy release in mike website, but I can't download from deposit files.. can someone upload it mediafire links..

I am having android 2.3 ,recently i bricked my phone but it was recovered by some method .day before yesterday i was playing game and after playing game i kept it in lock mode.after some time when i switch on the phone from lock mode it get restarted by own i thought that i might have put the finger on switch of button .during restarting it got struck on the boot animation .so i had to recover it through my starting recovery.now phone cant receive/send any thing from Bluetooth and my phone get restarted sometimes when in lock mode/playing games.I had also tried to set my max frequency to 729 MHz but still same problem .so anyone help me if these problems will be solved when i will switch to ICS,Also tell me that if keyboard and camera problems are solved in beta 5

See PM, it could be the brick has damaged alot but what is in the PM is all I can think of now.

-CM Changes
-No more GPU errors in Settings, Gallery etc
-Much more smooth due to new CA based hardware props
-New EGL libs
-Root fixed
-New CM Boot Animation
-No blackscreen errors on wakeup
-YT HQ is now 17fps(basic codecs from CA(libOmxCore etc), now fighting with omx extention)
To fix the FCs and Gallery noth showing images sometimes SET SWAP to 256MB or more ! RECOMENDED for now

Hi, I'm on 2.3.7 right now an I want to know what will get erased when i upgrade to ICS. Is it just contacts and apps that are on the phone memory?

Can someone post a tutorial? And Is there a version that has the camera working?
I have CM7 2.3.7 but how do I upgrade to ICS?

Edit : I installed ICS but the Camera, Clock/Alarm doesnt work. And the battery drains in less than 7 Hours.

Hi everyone first post
i downloaded the ice cream sandwich for lg gt540 and for the most part its great just one or two issues with battery life and the other is with youtube not really working properly kinda laggy but the sound is fine. Any ideas would be great for a fix.

Not alot you can do there system problems, if you are not running beta 5 deep sleep is not working, which is why the battery life is so bad, on beta 5 the battery only lasts about 12hrs, mike is looking into it.

Also the laggy youtube is a codec problem that mike is also trying to fix.

Just bear with it for a bit, next version shouldnt be too far away.

Also this forum seems to be loosing all its experts (if you can call us that) if you want updates on ICS, this forum on XDA is where mike posts any news, and it has a link to his blog which is where he posts his updates.

Do you have recovery installed? If you still have the ASIS files on your PC connect through fastboot and find your recovery.img (i like to move it to the same location as fastboot) then type in cmd.

cd {location of fastboot.exe}

fastboot.exe flash recovery recovery.img

Then reboot and hold the home button when you power on and it should boot into CMW recovery.

just flashed the recovery, but im still getting a blank screen. =/

Blank screen sounds really off, I would redownload ASIS and flash that recovery, you could have a corrupt recovery img.

Just installed the Polish Blood preRC only issue ive found upto now is the market wont load, it flashes up then switches off immaculately, tried a new apk file but not getting any joy, can i have a nudge in the right direction

How did you install it ,i have tried installing via zip but it got struck at coloured lg logo.can you send me a backup of polish blood RC .please upload to media fire not deposits file.I will Be thankful to you

I turned the phone off to recovery mode and installed it using the zip off the sd card , it takes a few mins but it does install then reboot, let it finish. then give it 10mins then switch off and back on again and its done. Back up your numbers before you install as they dont work correctly.

I have tested the bt headset and unfortunatly it still didn't work. It connects but I can not hear anything.

Thanks for your help .but please upload a backup via clockworkmod recovery and upload to mediafire so i can also use ICS and we can share our views :cool:

Hmm what size is your system partition? it needs to be 200 or 210 for preRC, also did you wipe data after you installed, it causes alot of problems if you don't, from bootloops to making the system really slow.

How do i install from Beta 4 to the new public beta?

I tried to do it via recovery - install from zip, but it aborts, doesnt install.

Any ideas?
