Help my HTC wildfire has been blacklisted by ex

You said you're using their SIM in it, so they can block the handset using that SIM (for example if it's reported stolen). Have you tried a SIM for another network? Perhaps the 3 account has been suspended but the handset itself is okay?
If it's blocked and your ex is the account holder there's nothing you can do.... it is she who is the customer. They won't deal with anyone else I'm afraid.
