Quad scores (stock). Is root that much faster?

My RAZR is sadly still stock, runs fine no issues.

I know that quad scores can mean nothing, but they are at least usually pretty comparable on the same device (mine). I routinely get quads of 2400-2500+.

How much faster are the speeds on rooted devices? Just curious. I know with my fascinate it was really a dramatic difference.

Thanks

By definition Root doesn't improve your scores. Rooting your device may give certainly utilities access to your system in an attempt to improve performance but other than that Rooting is like attaining Admin access on a desktop.

Rooting gives you access to a lot of applications that are otherwise not available.

You can also FREEZE some of the bloatware pre-installes on your phone. In my case, I recently defrosted everything in anticipation of the ICS update. What I immediately noticed was that after I unfroze a bunch of applications my BATTERY LIFE began to suffer BIG TIME. I'm on a Maxx, so you woukd think it does not matter....but it really does if you are down to 50% battery by noon, and you have a long day ahead.

I'm also on a MAXX. Rooting will not change your scores.... but you quadrant scores will vary every single time.

(hint, run a second one right after the first and see the boost!).

Scores are about as useless as a mcdonalds coupon at a grocery store in most cases... but if you run some back to back ones, you might notice a small OC or some other tweak.

Thanks, I had my fascinate rooted and really overclocked and under volted..flirted with some high temps. It was crazy.

I have been afraid to root this phone for fear of bricking it. The fascinate was really easy to fix with Odin. I think I ran 6 different roms on that thing.

I hate the bloat...
