Hey guys. Have you any of you put custom ringtones on your phone? If so, what file type did you use? Trying to make the ringtone sound as best as it can. I posted something similar before, but since I couldn't fix the problem of slight distortion, just wanna see what file type sounds best on this phone. Thanks!

I use this website Myxer and you just upload a song from your computer and make a ringtone from the parts of it you want. Pretty cool online interface. You can send the ringtone to your phone by text message or download it and just put it on the phone manually. I download them and create a folder called "Ringtones" on the internal sd then just copy and paste them into that folder. The phone recognizes them as ringtones when I got to set them.

Go play around with it. Its pretty fun cutting up the songs you personally like and making the Ringtones. Might take a couple tries to see what audio lvl you want them at. I know I threw a few away at first because they were not loud enough. Depends on the type of music also.

I use Myxer, too. I'm loading the files to a new folder I created on the SD card under media/audio. Had notifications under audio, added ringtones based on another thread I read. But I don't see my new files in the standard personalize / ringtones app. So I installed VF FileBrowser and use that to select the ringtone, but the one I set keeps changing back to one of the defaults. Did I miss a step somewhere along the line?
