What are some choices for cases for the tf300? It has basically the same dimentions as the prime but slightly thicker, should most cases for the prime work?

From what I've read online, the ports don't line up properly for the TF300 with Prime cases, particularly the headphone jack. Several people have just cut a hole and fixed the issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few other things are slightly off on several of them.

Over on the Transformer Forums, there's nothing but love for the Caseen cases for the Transformer line. They have some for the TF300 available now. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm always docking and undocking from the keyboard, I'd probably purchase one. But since I use the keyboard dock so much, it would just be too much of a pain to worry about removing a case all the time.

You can get a KaysCase Addon Keyboard Case if you would like to dock your pad all the time.

Amazon.com: KaysCase Addon Folio Case with Keyboard Docking Station Cover for ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 (Black): Computers & Accessories

They also have a case for the pad only.

I dock and undock constantly, so even that case adds more steps that I don't want. When I had my Prime, I was constantly worried that the metal would scratch, so I had a case similar to the one you've posted. It was frustrating to have to constantly worry with it. With the TF300, I'm not concerned about the plastic scratching in my daily use, so no case is needed for me. :)

Thanks for posting the link though. That might be exactly what someone is looking for.

I ordered a case just for travel and occasionally propping it up easel-style for watching videos. Plan to go without it for the most part. Not sure if I'm going to get the dock. Not sure if I'll need it.

Thanks for the info. It's my first time getting a tablet, and the dock, too, so I will get a case.

Just curious, have you guys go on the airplane with the tablets before? Are you asked to take the tablets off the case, like the laptops? That will be a big hassle.

I fly all the time for my job, and the TSA does not require you to take tablet out, just laptops. I once asked a TSA officer to explain the difference, and he said the TSA considers tablets to be Toys, where a laptop is a tool. It did not make sense to me either.
