Just pre-ordered my Evo V 3D today through radioshack, was getting tired of the lack of support that Motorola provided the Triumph. The dealbreaker for me was Motorola finally saying that the Triumph will remain on 2.2 which is sad as that phone had potential, but instead Motorola decided to abandon it...ill never buy a Crapola phone again...Hello HTC Evo. So how many of you are going to be making the switch to the EVO from the Triumph? :D

Sold my 6th replacement Triumph last week for $275, brand new in the box with 6 batteries and lots of extras. Got out before the price plummets, no way Virgin can justify charging $280 vs. $300 for the Evo. Even if the Triumph worked perfectly, Ha I made a funny, there is such a huge hardware difference between the 2 phones that even if you don't have WiMax available in your area it's still a no-brainer IMHO.

I have great reception where I live, check out WiMax coverage right on Virgin's site. It was just updated. Also Sprint really has nothing to do with any expanded coverage. Even though they are the majority shareholder Clear has controlling interest in the venture. Sprint just has their prior contractual agreement with Clear for unlimited access at least until 2013. Sprint has already stated that they plan on being completely off of WiMax by 2015. Cell Phone Coverage - Check Cell Phone Coverage | Virgin Mobile

Its says it has a 1.2ghz but does not mention if its a dual core. I would think that would be a good selling point. weird

That's what caught my eye too. I was a little worried they had dumbed down the phone.
Oh well, We saw the hands on. It says it is exactly the same.

I'm keeping my Triumph as an MP3 player. =]

Question since we're all dumping: if I sell my Triumph, the next person will have to activate it, so there isn't any reason to leave it ROM'ed, right?

I'd at least put it back to stock Froyo 2.2 before selling it but thats just my opinion. The next person that tries to activate it may have some difficulties if your not using the stock rom. I am giving my Triumph away to my dad as he still uses the Optimus V...he will enjoy the bigger screen while watching Netflix in bed lol :p

Well, I planned to sell it here and thought having it ROM'ed might be an advantage. But again, I think it has to be stock to activate. Anybody selling theirs, where are you selling it at?
Sold mine on Craigslist last week, got real lucky. I had just received my 6th replacement so it was brand new in the box, 6 batteries, 4 or 5 cases and a bunch of other extras. $275! A week or so from know I'd probably be lucky to get $175. No way in hell Virgin will be able to sell it for $280 once the Evo's out at $300. And yes, you usually need the stock dialer to activate. Even if you didn't I would still switch back just so you can zero out your mdn and msid, that's what I did. Just left custom recovery on it
