I hate to break it to you but the problems you described are not a normal software complaint for this phone. As you probably know, ANY product can have a defection here and there. Instead of waiting around for a mystery update, why don't you get a replacement phone? If the problem continues, it is more likely that the network is to blame.

This phone is the best phone I have ever had. Yes ICS will take it to the next level but I am extremely happy with the results so far.

How is this google's fault? The "L" is for Verizon for apparently having one unnamed employee telling CNET that this would happen. Moto most likely has a ready-for-primetime build, but Big Red still has to sign off before it goes even for a soak.

Quoted for truth! No set date has been made by VZW. Until VZW sets a date and misses it we have nothing to be upset about. CNET doesn't speak for them, an anonymous source doesn't speak for them if he's anonymous. I don't speak for them.

Rumors are strictly that folks!

Oh my everyone lets over react about the rumor not being true.
Yes I am excited to know that there is an ICS upgrade coming my way soon, but no I am not going to make a big deal that I haven't seen it yet..

So lets everyone get off Verizon, Moto, and googles backs and just wait until it is officially announced. Rumors are nice for a tease but they are not official.

The Maxx is the Motorola flagship phone selling the most on Verizon, so come on guys relax. The update will get here, the Japanese razr has it. I am sure that they are working out the bugs it has to make our experience better, I am a Motorola fan have owned their products all my life. Relax

True, Custom ROMs are different from the official release. That's not necessarily a bad thing depending on what you're looking for.

Leaks on the other are the official software, just early versions that MIGHT have some issues that MAY or MAY NOT effect you.
