Hi,

Having trouble getting contact details across from my iphone to my Samsung G S3

Would like to inherit my paid for apps, music, contact details etc from itunes but proving impossible.

Also I find I have to do the old school dial up of 901 (voicemail in UK) to find out who has left verbal messages. Does any one know if the Samsung has the list of names with the message similar to the iphone which can be operated via setting???

Thank you

I am not sure I understand the other problems, but for the contacts, simply sync your iPhone contacts to your Google account (you add it as an Exchange account in the iPhone settings and allow contact sync)

As for paid apps, you can't inherit them. They are on different markets. Its like trying to tell a Nike store in France to give you a bag because you bought one in the UK.

Music, simply connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable, go to where ever in your computer you keep your music files, copy and paste them into the phone storage. You can make a "music" folder if you like as well.

If by contact details you mean you want to port your old number from the iPhone to the S3, why don't you just take the old iPhone SIM and put it into the S3? Or talk to your network.

Unfortunately, most of your iPhone apps are just that--iPhone apps. Android and iPhone applications are [drastically] different. Because the iPhone has a larger developer base, you have access to more premium apps, but you should be able to find the equivalent of an iPhone app in the Playstore (Android/Google's version of The App Store). You can visit www.play.google.com and browse through the apps to see if you can locate the same or replacement apps before you get your new device.

I'd take a paper and pencil and jot down your findings so when you get your device, all you have to do is go to the Playstore on your phone or on your browser to download'em and get going.
