Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X

In what way did they do that in the design.

OK - S-Voice is a shameless rip-off of Siri, right down to icon design - but the hardware isn't very apple-like.

I think what he means, the design is so far removed from anything Apple do so as not to fall foul of one of their ridiculous patent claims?

That's how I read it anyway.

I had the One X for a little over a week, and I just got the S3 yesterday.

I LOVED HTC from way back... like when they came out with the dream and magic, i stuck with htc phones until I switched to Samsung when the S2 came out. So when the HOX I was really excited.

Sense is beautiful, so much better than touchwiz, videos came out great and the screen is great. Battery was good too. For me that's where it ended. I don't know if it was just my unit, but it was laggy, and would frequently stutter doing things my S2 would do with ease. Like switching from one app to another, scrolling down a page etc. I was already turned off of having no sd, and the battery, so those things plus the general experience of it made me return it and wait for the S3.

I'm glad I did. I really like the look better, and its just so smooth, the camera is way better IMO too.

Just my experience with the two phones so far. I hope HTC comes back better next time, I miss it LOL but very happy with the S3 :)

Here is a pic of a outside comparison of the Galaxy S3 and the HTC One. Would anyone agree this is an accurate comparison?

I would have to say that my HTC Rezound screen outside, looks awfully like the HTC One's in this pic.

I agree that looks terrible..
but..

it looks to me...the phone are leaning against a bush.. so it would be hard to for them to be leaning at the exact same angle. it seems that the htc phone has glare (reflection of out side light)

and also, it is odd.. that the big ass menu button at the bottom of the htc .. can be seen perfectly fine.. why is the glare not affecting that?

looks odd to me.

Dont have the phone.
But. Please guide on.

What happens if the htc hangs.how do you recover.

screen durability of samsung n htc even if both are same.

thanks

htc.. if hangs.. you hold the power button down for 10secs.. it hard reboots.. same as pulling the battery.

screens on both are corning gorilla glass .. i hear the htc is the new thinner gorilla glass 2. same durability. high scratch resistance (NOT scratch/shatter PROOF).

The HTC One is a good phone but for me the deciding factor was no SD expansion ability on the HTC. That's a big show stopper for me! I have the S3 and am very happy with it. I have the AT&T model and also the international model. I have to sell one of them but can't decide which one. One is really fast processing and the other is really fast downloading.

Really for me:
1) S3 has removable storage.
2) S3 has removable battery
3) It is on all carriers world wide and thus will likely have huge line of accessories and tweaks available
4) AMOLED screen is black when showing a black screen. LCD is too bright at night to use as an alarm clock. Trivial, but I hate how bright a complete black screen is with LCD. However, I'm now thinking the dim screen of the S3 while at full brightness might be a deal breaker. I'll have to test it in my car as a GPS to see if it is useable.

Wait for the S3...it can't be that long until they have them in stock...the One X is beautiful and I really like HTC phones, but the S3 is just so tricked out that I say you gotta hold out for it. But, if you wait too long, in another 3-6 months there will be a new batch of Jellybean phones that make the S3 and One X look antiquated...And then the Mayans say we're all dead at the end of the year so, in the end, it doesn't really matter...
