Help Bluetooth problems - forgets settings

I have an issue with BT on my Galaxy, it somehow gets stuck and forgets the settings:

- If I go out of range with my BT headset, and than back in range, sometimes a single click on headset button will make it reconnect with the phone, as it should.

- But, sometimes it will not reconnect (even by manually reconnectng from the phone Wireless\Bluetooth menu), and also it cannot "Scan for devices" - a click on that will not do anything, the phone does not scan for other devices, even though BT seems to be on.

- If I restart BT at this point, it will forget its "Device name" and say "Galaxy" in that field. Also cannot search for devices.

- If I restart it again, the "Device name" will be "No name set, using account name"; scanning will not work. Further BT restarts keep it in this state, only restart of the phone helps.

Anyone knows what might be the problem? I'm on JB2 firmware.

I've seen similar quirks when connecting to my car kit. Nine times out of ten it works fine, but occasionally it just throws a fruit and refuses to connect. Sometimes rebooting the phone and the car(!) fixes it, sometimes I've to completely delete the pairing on both sides and re-pair it.

It's a pain, but TBH it's a relatively rare occurance so I've just lived with it rather than putting any effort into fixing it.

Currently on, uh, JC2 I think, but it was happening pre-donut as well (though not with the very early firmwares, I think it started happening around IK5).

Sorry I don't have a fix, just wanted to say "it's not just you."
