Did i mess up by not waiting for the nexus 7

Well let us know how it works out for you. I am thinking of getting a tablet for my wife. She doesn't care about memory size. Just wants it for web browsing, games and emails. She more familiar with Apple products so may wait for the rumored 7" Ipad.

Team I'd probably wait for the iPad mini for her''' and yeah I use my tablet mostly for YouTube and playing a shitload of emulators

I got both of them.. Both of them are nice tablets.. They both have disadvantages and advantages over each other. Tab 2 got flash Nexus none. Tab two is also got better hardware encoding capabilities.. omap does really good job with HD movies where Nexus not so good. All in all great tablets but im keeping Nexus and tab 2 is going on craigslist... I would keep till jelly bean comes to it just wanna see what's it going to be like..

Flash support will be limited for mobile devices. After 15 Aug they wont allow you to download from Google Play for devices that don't have it installed. They even recommend you uninstall it for Jelly Bean. That said I don't care personally.

I'm still thinking of getting a Nexus for the wife. I just really dislike Apple software.

I just bought a N7 for my wife, but I am trying to decide which to get for myself. The N7 is very fast and I can't find anything that I do not like about it except for the lack of memory expansion. I know that I can root and use a flash drive, but it still isn't the same. Any other pros for the Tab 2 to sway my thoughts? Thanks in advance

the expandable memory is one obviously. Another I can think of is the fact the Samsung Galaxy has been out a few months now so it has a track record. The Nexus 7 is still pretty new kinda did have a rocky launch. People still seem to love them but there have been people on this forum who have gone thought multiple returns for screen lift issues that seem to continue to get worse as the device is used.

The Tab2 and the n7 was the same price at Wal-Mart. I guess I need to purchase a TAB2 and play with it awhile since the wife has the N7. If I don't like it, Wal-Mart gives me 15 days to return it.
Walmart sells them for 200 after instant rebate
Were are you guys seeing that at? I'm on Walmart's website and don't see anything about rebates and the price is showing "Online $248".

Thnx.

I've only just bought my first Android tab, having been disappointed with my iPad2.
Looked at both the Nexus7 and Galxy Tab 2 7.0, but decided on the Samsung.

Reasons....

Felt better put together than the Nexus.
Expandable memory.
The Samsung brand tabs have been around a while, and have a very good reputation for reliability.

And for me, the Galaxy Tab just felt right.

All I need to do now is figure out all of ICS' little ways and I'm happy.

By the way, it cost
