Hi all!
Sorry to register and post immediately but I'm new to android and am having some teething trouble.
My old phone has died and I've borrowed an X10 from my family but the phone memory is being used rather than the 2GB SD card that I have installed. I want to move everything to the SD card to free up the memory but the "move to SD card" option is greyed out!
I took back a brand new Galaxy Ace to the shop today because it had the exact same issue and was surprised to see that this is a problem with Android itself rather than a phone issue.
I've read that I need to "root" my phone but I don't know what this will do to the phone and am worried because I will eventually have to give the phone back! I'm assuming "root" is like the administrator privilages similar to linux.
Phone details are:
Model: X10i
Android Version: 2.3.3
Baseband Version: 2.1.71
Kernal Version: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537
Build Version: 3.0.1.G.0.75
Can anyone help please?
I have searched for this on the forum but nobody has posted how to do this with the X10i on 2.3.3
Thanks!
