Help Things that Jelly Bean have screwed up!

The Long Press Open In New Tab, In Default And Dolphin, I Swear Is Getting Worse. A Few Times Today I Have Given Up After Over 10 Tries. Doing My HEad In.
NEVER happened On Ics

Again, as stated by a few others.

Your issues are NOT with Jelly Bean. Your issues are with 3rd party apps that have not yet been fully updated to be fully compatible with some changes in Jelly Bean.

I don't understand what the point of this thread is. You will have MUCH better luck finding dev threads for each app you are having problems with and addressing these issues there. Trust me!

You do realize you are replying to his post that's a month old, yes? I'm pretty sure he got the point since he stopped posting in this thread. :)

The only problem I see with JB (the ROMs I've tried for my Sprint Gnex anyway) is that the stock JB is not as good as the ICS keyboard. It's missing the punctuation marks at the top of the keyboard like ICS has...

This is a setting under Language & Input>keyboard settings>Advanced Settings> Next word prediction <--turn this OFF!!!

they got rid of the ICS browser, which is smoother than chrome.

also, no flash stock.

To be honest, I did like the ICS browser a bit better than the Chrome one (although the Chrome one is still pretty good). I do wish the heading with the address bar would disappear though. Browsing a dark page with that bar being white in a dark room is really annoying.

Would this perhaps work for you?

ICS browser - is that the app called "Browser" with a globe icon? If so, the stock Sprint GNex Jellybean update still has it - version 4.11-418202
I tried chrome, but missed the option to hide address bar (and the quick controls option - these quick controls have actually been enhanced in JB compared to ICS - menu within menu)

So EVERY app on the phone is at fault, including ones that come with the OS, not the os?

Jelly bean simply is buggy and in adding bells and whistles they have ruined the core.

...what is this, I don't even.

Anyhow, here's an article I read about Jelly Bean (well, its sort of about Android in general, but its about UI design problems in Android that haven't been fixed as of yet in Jelly Bean).

Viewing your trouble posts, the issues you have/had are with 3rd party apps, not the OS.

Stock browser, stock email client?
They came with the OS, did they not?

If they ship as part of os, surely breaking them with os update is out of order.

If you take your car for a service, and it comes back running like a bag of nails, you would be happy with being told it was because we used 3rd party parts?

A very interesting read. As a designer for a living, detail is my thing.
Though my complaints are about failing functionality.

I don't know if they are actually Jelly Bean issues though. I've noticed literally no difference between ICS and JB, when it comes to functionality. Just one has a bit more polish and is missing the normal Android browser (replaced with Chrome).

An app and an OS are two completely different things. If you feel the OS (the operating system, which is Jelly Bean) is the cause of your problems (which is what you've stated in the title of your thread) then perhaps you should factory reset the phone. This is the only way you will replace corrupt system or default (Google and 3rd party default) files/apps.

I'm having issues with LightFlow Lite. The app is not displaying any LED, vibe, or sound notifications for anything. Anybody experience this?

Try posting about LightFlow in the apps section of the forums. Someone can better assist you there. Or, you can also contact the LightFlow developer.

If you added a 3rd party performance mod to your car, and after service they've flashed the ECU and now it runs like garbage, is it the Dealer's fault?

I didn't see anything in your original post that affects the stock browser or email client.

What I did see was a lot of text selection and input bugs you described. Ditching your 3rd party Swype keyboard (not part of the OS build) should fix many of your issues. Have you tried that?
