I never had that issue...did you do a full wipe before flashing? Are you using 4EXT?

Okay, so things took a turn for the worst with my computer. I'll be fighting with ti for about an hour, I think -___-;;

So either tonight, or tomorrow afternoon you'll have a patched Viper3D ROM up and posted.

that is a very good rom. the only thing that I'm waiting on is the MMS fix. once thats out ill give that rom a run.

Does anyone know where I can download this rom from, I would like to try it out. And, when I download, do I just do a full wipe then?? Thanks for the help.

Step four: take my framework file, and drag it into the Rom, overwriting the original.

I found this for downloading the rom. Is this a full rom so I can just flash it like I do the other roms. Usually I just download a full rom and then just flash it thru 4ext, then I'm done.

On another note, the link that overbyter provied me at xda, I saw nowhere for a download link. Also, when I do find the link, is this going to be a full rom version or specific files I have to install. I have never installed a rom with having to download multiple files before?? Please help

What you quoted from Prinny is what you need to do to get MMS to work. It is not the ROM.
The ROM is located on the page Overbytr gave a link to. It is in the second post. It says DOWNLOAD and under that is the link which says "Viper 3D nightly folder" This takes you to another page on which you scroll down till you see "DOWNLOAD" This takes you to a page where you will see a list of the ROM and a fix.
Please take the time to read thru the threads and you will find some answers.

I find if you use 7zip it works better if you use a windows machine.

I downloaded modded the rom (with 7z) and it installed perfectly for me last night..

Its a good rom, but i went back to mobsters this evening

Yes, it does work. I went back to midnight Rom because I had a lot of issues with music players and audio with viper.

Yeah audio is very important to me, slight thread hijack, give the Neutron Player a shot, the UI is very busy but the sound quality is much better than Power Amp or Jet Audio.

Question about the build.prop file. The games I could play on midnight ROM, does not work on viper. But if I put midnights build.prop into vipers and install, I can play the games, but messenger does not work. Anyone know what lines I need to modify on Vipers file to recognize it as the EVO V and not SHOOTER, while still retaining messenger functionality? Any and all input is appreciated!

my experience with 4g on this phone (at least in denver, co) is that I actually will spend more time scanning to find a single wimax signal than just letting it download over 3g without bothering to turn wimax on.

Anything that would take too long to download over 3g can wait until i get wifi.

So wimax enabled is nice. But i think i've used it about 9 times for anything other than clicking the scan button in vain.
