Which external sd card is the best for Galaxy Note 2?

Hi, I took my GNote's external sd card and put it in the Note II LTE. The card is SanDisk 16GB micro HC. As far as I recall, it is about class 4 or 5.

Whenever I open /storage/extSdCard/DCIM, the sign "Processing..." shows up and the circle keeps spinning, I have to wait for about 20 seconds in order for the list to show up. Anybody knows why it takes so long? I don't recall having to wait for such a long time when I was using the Galaxy Note. As the GNote 2 is faster, is it time to get a faster SD card? Which one do you recommend? I take lots of photos and videos. Thanks.

The best SD card will depend on how much storage capacity you need and how patient you are. Class 4 will fast enough for almost every thing the phone will dish on it. But transferring files would be longer to do than a faster card (ex. class 10). The phone can handle up to 64 GB of external storage, but that wouldn't be practical if you only need 20 GB. :)

In the end, the best card will depend on your requirements as well as how much you will be willing to pay to accomplish your requirements. :)

If you know you will only be using around 20 GB, why would you pay extra for a 64 GB?

What is the bottleneck of the Galaxy Note 2 (bus speed)? Back in the summer, some users were excited in the SanDisk Ultra microSDXC (30MB/s). Just check the SanDisk website, now they have something call Extreme Pro with a read/write speed of about 90MB/s. Can the Note 2 handle a memory card with that kind of speed? Will such card be as good as the internal flash memory?

As caloy said earlier, the phone won't read the sd card any faster than if you have a SanDisk ultra. With the extreme pro you will just be able to transfer files to the card faster. Not even sure if it's compatible with the Note 2. No SD card will be as good as internal phone storage.
