Now is there a way to get the WiFi Toggle back in the Notification bar like it is on every other Note 2 variant?

Absolutely! WiFi toggle installed and working perfectly. Only root needed. Some other files if you want add or remove other things also.
Just copy a single file over and presto!!! Love root.

Still, the persistent wifi notice sucks though.

I tried the method link to at XDA and the walk through didn't work for me.

This will remove that annoying little Wifi Reminder. I have tested this on my phone with 0 issues.

•You will need root
•You will a SQLite editor

1.Open Settings Storage > db > secure
2.Search for “wifi_networks_available_notification_on” (different providers will be different line numbers)
3.Edit that record to read a value of 0 < (that's a ZERO)
4.Reboot your phone

When I open settings with sqlite editor I don't get those options listed above.

We can add the wifi toggle to the drop down notification, but cannot get rid of the turn wifi on notice...yet.

I'm surprised there hasn't been a permanent fix for the ongoing WiFi notification. Neither of the methods in OP (using SQL editor or Anycut) worked for me, but it did work for the Pop-up notification.

Another thing you can do to temporarily get rid of it is long-press the WiFi notification, select "app info" and press "Force Stop." This will kill the notification until you reboot or until you toggle WiFi.

i cant get sql trick to work I switched the value to 0 but it doesnt do anything after rebooting. also anycut doesnt show hiddenwifi. any help please

I search all the time and nothing I've ever seen works...permanently. It always comes back. You have to keep your eye on XDA forums where the techie guys hang out.
