Help 4G Comes On By Itself

I received some updates from Sprint over the last week, and now my S2 is constantly turning on "4G" and borking my Wi-Fi connection when it does it. There is no WiMAX service of any kind in my area, BTW. My settings still show 4G as "Off". Has anyone else had this problem?

It's the Sprint Connections Optimizer. This will turn it off. Menu>Settings>Under Wireless and Networks choose More>Mobile Networks>Sprint Connections Optimizer>Uncheck the box for it.

Thanks for posting that workaround ! I had been experiencing the same issue after the recent software upgrade.

Thanks! Does that mean that I'm going to have to manually establish all of my Wi-Fi connections now? Oh, wait...I already have to do that! What a worthless piece of crapware that "optimizer" is.
