Off-topic: I got Spanked. What about you?

That just makes no sense to me at all. You lose out on so much functionality due to not having the Google account attached. I'm sure you plead your case to him to smarten up a bit.

I tried, believe me.The only reason he's got the G-NEX is SPRINT had a $0 sale on it @ the time.Otherwise,he'd probably be in some unbranded feature phone.

He really has no idea what the phones capabilities hold & insists on learning it all "someday" w/the help of a "G-NEX FOR DUMMIES" book.

He's actually a nice person, but, appears to have too much pride to ask anyone for help with his phone.
My 1st suggestion to him months ago was to give A/F a look.I think I'll bring up the A/F topic to him again in casual conversation the next time I see the guy after the holidays.Perhaps after a few months of having the phone & no doubt a measure of frustration that he may be experiencing,he'll be ready to drop in to A/F & get some guidance.

I'll even try to place a bookmark shortcut on his home screen to facilitate things.

I'd place a PHANDROID shortcut, but,as I mentioned,he has no access to the GOOGLE PLAY STORE until he gets a GOOGLE account.

Well the DoJ the put the brakes on the deal, at least temporarily. Sprint does business with the government and military. Plus anytime a foreign company makes a play for a utility, they need to take a look at it to make sure everything is kosher I guess.

Really more regulatory red tape than anything else. It will happen, Sprint and Softbank just need to jump through all the hoops first.

I remember EarlyMon and I discussing the potential Softbank phones that could eventually make their way over here, and looks like the first Sharp phone finally has (although mid-tier offering)

Sharp Aquos Crystal officially announced for Sprint

The form factor is really beautiful. I wonder if the Aquos Crystal X is coming with its 5.5 inch screen. Sharp seems to have gotten the edge-to-edge thing down, so maybe the 5.5 version would be even smaller than the G3? Might just be a contender, if so.

From this pic, it looks like the Crystal X is very close in size to the G3

i like it.. very sexy.

but a few concerns:
- I have a NOTE3.. and I still have some issues accidently touching the screen when view media.
- taking my phone out of my pocket and trying not to touch the screen .. might activate something.
- the camera is at the bottom.. how will that look and feel?
- the bottom bezel is very big.. I wonder if it is about the same size as... the NOTE3's top and bottom combined? if so.. I think I prefer the even top and bottom split
- where is the ear speaker?

All good questions. But, supposedly the x isn't coming here, but gives hope for the future.

Full length video posted in the Aquos section here.

The night shot and screen speaker are awesome.

As for the X, I wouldn't doubt seeing that coming to Sprint as well by years end.

If the Crystal X comes to the US with an upgrade to the 805, I might just consider losing the S-Pen. As of right now, the Note 4 rumors haven't peaked my interest enough to ditch the Note 3. A 5.5 screen that's close to the size of the G2...that really intrigues me a lot and could be worthy of ditching my beloved S-Pen.

Right Now I have the Galaxy Mega and I love the big screen, but I miss the S-Pen of the Note Series. I didn't get the Note 3 (as much as I wanted to) mainly because it was not Tri-Band on Sprint. The Mega was tri-band so I got it. I love the speeds I get on it here in NYC.

I most probably will get the Note 4 since it will be tri-Band and give up the Mega, but I also will give up my Netgear hotspot and just use the hotspot on the phone. In its place I might just get the Aquos as a backup phone.

Then again, with the possibility of the X coming by years end, I just might hold up on that decision.

You just gave me an idea, ts. Replace my Photon with the Aquos as a backup...hmmmm.
