How to switch off battery saver app when uploading files

I don't think you can disable the battery saving app because they usually run in the background and require an additional button press to disable. So the kill app task probably won't work.

However, I just realized if you happen to be using juice defender, there is a jd status option that you can toggle on and off.

Just curious, are you trying to affect connectivity or is there another reason you want to kill it?

Oh bugger. It was setting the profile to act when the phone was uploading that I couldn't work out - hadn't realised I couldn't kill DS Battery Saver. Just tried it with another profile and you're right, it doesn't work.

The reason I wanted to is because I have the battery saver set to always deep sleep while the screen is off, and I'm pretty sure that's interfering with large uploads of videos etc especially to facebook. It may be something else because they still sometimes fail if I switch it off manually, but not as often.

Thanks for the help.

Not familiar with ds, but are there any settings that allow you to ignore certain apps? Jd allows this. I'm thinking don't even use tasker if you can do it through the ds app.

Changing the screen timeout is going to defeat the purpose of saving battery life completely. If you can ignore the app, you can still upload with your screen off but your phone won't go into the deep sleep
