LG MOTION LIGHT (-4g) on PagePlus!

PagePlusCellular Activate ESN Confirmation

Status : ACTIVE

The LG MOTION is selling for less than $100 around the Internet. Be aware, most of these phones do not come with the UICC card. It's the card that authorized it to work on MetroPCS LTE network. IT IS NOT A SIMM CARD AND DOES NOT CARRY YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
These cards can be interchangeable, and can be replaced for newer LTE devices. At the time of this post It has not been confirmed if these cards are available and being sold separately at metropcs corporate stores. Before buying the LG Motion for a cheap price without its UICC card you should call and confirm (888-8metro8) that you can get replacement card if you plan on using it on MetroPCS.

If you do not have a UICC card the LG motion will work without the 4g LTE thru manual activation on metropcs and OTA on PagePlusCellular.

Not Bad for a LG MOTION for under $100 and a no contract plan just under $30.
*Without 4h LTE and limited data

from what i recall, from when i had my Indulge, No they do not sell the cards independently, and also I think that once the card is registered to a device then it only works on that device....I could be wrong with that last point though

That is true with the old uicc cards but from what I remember, cat3 and up cards you can get a new one for the phone which is what metro is putting in there new phones.

CAT 2 are phone specific. The CAT3 can go with you phone to phone. Some dealers/corporate store keep stock and sell them for 5$ each. Believe me, people actually take them out and lose them...why would someone even take it out for no reason...

I'm terribly sorry. I have this phone on MetroPCS and I really like phone but MetroPCS is bad in my home area. You wrote that nothing is required to use it on PagePlus (OTA will go fine). I just want to make sure that I understood you correctly. So I need only to remove 4g sim, get new number from pp providing them LG Motions 4G ESN and after that do OTA (dial *22890) and everything will start to work (talk text and data) right? Will I get 3G on it?

Thanks in advance

The only reason I would see reasonable for people to take them out is sending the phone in for service and they say any user removable items will be thrown out. Theres also switching between a throttled & unthrottled UICC

Is this $5 cost really correct? I went to a local authorized dealer, and they charged me $45 for a CAT3 (universal, non phone-specific) card. Was I massively ripped off? If so, what recourse do I have?

Thanks!

I was able to get voice working on mine using below steps. I took these steps from other threads (thanks to everyone who contributed there). I didn't check data as i only use wifi. Please correct me if anything i did was incorrect or if it might cause any future problems with the phone.

Steps assuming you already changed the esn with page plus

1) Disable LTE
Dial ##626* and enter your msl (check other threads on how to get it). Go to network select and update network more to cdma+evdo and exit.
2) Disable sim card requirement and network lock
Dial ##LGSERVICEMENU or ##5473784236368 to go to hidden menu. When you are in uncheck network lock and turn activation off in icc activation setting and exit.
3) Install QPST 2.7 (find it on google, i used the one available on google downloads)
4) Connect phone to PC and open device manager
5) Find out the port and note it down (check Ports->LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port -> properties->port settings->advanced->COM Port number
6) Open QPST
7) Go to ports tab and make sure the port # of phone is mentioned, else add it using add new port.
8) Go to active phones, it should show your phone if properly connected
9) go to start clients->service programming
10) select your phone and click ok
11) New window will open, on settings tab of window, click read from phone
12) Update service programming to "000000" (this will be your new msl)
13) Click write to phone.
14) Reboot your phone if it doesn't automatically.
15) Dial *228 to do over the air programming for page plus. It should get activated but you will see roaming triangle at top. You can update the prl using information provided in other threads for sprint phones.
