Root [ROM] Angry Bean / CM 10.1 [build 08.08.13]

Sorry guys have still been working the Sense Rom.

https://github.com/HTCStarShip

Also have had my Victory activated the last few. The biggest difference between the last 2 releases of Angry Bean outside of CM changes was we had been using some of the Rider device include files. I removed them in the last build. Will try and put out another build tonight or tomorrow and put them back and see if that helps. Otherwise probably not going to be another update in the near future.

Doe's this basically mean this rom and phone is dead? I always loved your work.

No ill still be updating just not as often but will keep up with CM and come back for fixes if I discover anything new. Just been hanging with the Victory as its definitely more motivating educational and enjoyable working with others. Otherwise still think there is hope for 4g icons. Not sure about MHL but still have a few ideas. Also still doing the Sense ICS Rom as it gives me something to do why compiling source.

Awesome work. This has been my daily for quite a while. No complaints, just a question: Does Miracast work? My friend got a TV with it integrated and I wanted to play around with it but cannot seem to find the option. Maybe it's a hardware thing?

Honestly I’m not sure, have never tried it out. Would be interested to know though.

On another note with the new build there are a bunch of changes from CM. They went nutty for a bit after the last release and then nothing now since 10.2. I’m sure at some point they will start back porting a few things as they usually do but with this build it is not just a few minor changes to a few apps but some completely new repository’s like voice-plus mentioned a few posts above. Was hesitant at first with some of the new packages like Cyanogen/ion but was needed or the Rom would no longer build. Also like I was saying before since the last release I tried a new build before bed every night trying fixes for the Maps issue and then flashed in the morning. Anyhow point being besides Maps still being glitchy in cases I did not wipe data when flashing it was bug central all over the place. In most cases it would reboot why rebuilding the caches in the Android is updating phase. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on that. Otherwise had not experienced any new bugs after a data wipe. Also the new repository’s came after the new Maps Update so pretty sure they are not part of whatever is going on with the last Maps update. Otherwise the Maps thing is driving me nuts, tried everything from GPS hardware changes, reverting back to gpu rendering disabling overlay, forcing HW rendering and anything else I could think of including Dalvic cache tweaks and new flags as I know for example m=v,o=y works really well with the Rom but causes Waze to act much like Maps is now. Anyhow, end of rant!

Has anybody else been having any issues with the phone randomly powering down? It only seems to happen when I'm streaming music (Google Music, Pandora, and Slacker) but I can't seem to pinpoint what exactly is happening right before it happens as it always seems to happen when the screen is off. I think it's only happened while on WiFi, but I can't be sure as I don't stream music in the car that much (stupidly inconsistent 3g (no WiMax) here).

I've tried wipe of all partitions (except SD card) and reflashing the ROM a couple times then installing apps from Helium and doing the same with downloading the apps fresh from the Play Store and nothing seems to make much of a difference. Sometimes the phone will go hours without powering down, sometimes 20 minutes.

Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks!

Sorry kinda playing get caught up on comments tonight but let me know if anyone else has had this issue. I usually stream either Play Music and sometimes Pandora at least 3 hours a day when I'm doing work over wifi, not so much over 3g or wimax but haven’t had any issues. With that said the new build includes a few of the Harmonia files for sound as part of a not yet enabled Dolby Mobile Port but so far haven’t noticed any negative effects, could just be placebo but actually think audio sounds better with them included.

Answered my own question after flashing. Looks like it is. This new build is working great so far btw! Just wish cm allowed clock centering.

hope this is the answer u are looking for, (unless I misunderstood): Long-press the clock on the screen, and drag the box frames for a smaller, or full, width.

on edit: maybe u meant on the notification bar. idk about that

OK since I don't have my EVO with me I have not flashed it yet but basically did a sync with CM, Added back in the some of the device include files we had been using previously and added in a few updates from mrg666's Kernel for the most part improvements on what had already been picked. Thanks again to mrg666. Otherwise will update the thread after the joby job.

As soon as [08.08.13] was up, I put it on my phone.
After roughly 2 days I can say my phone stopped the random restart & the WiMax/4G has done a 360 for the better. It's probably the most stable 4G out of all the other past Releases.

I still have a few things to test during the weekend but I'll post it here.
This release has helped greatly tho.
Thanks Chairshot! Keep up the good work

Edit:
*My Mic is completely dead. Can't speak or use Apps that need mic like Voice Search, Shazam, SoundHound, etc. Used a wired headset & worked fine. I'm pretty sure it will work with a Bluetooth headset but I have not tried it.
*Android Native Video player, YouTube, Instagram Video & Vine plays in VERY Slow motion. I was able to play video fine with another App. A restart helps clear the issue when it happens.

Really? Did you read the 5 or 6 posts above yours?

After I posted, yes. I like to go in guns'a'blazin'.

It's rather weird actually. Everything was working yesterday. (Sounds, Youtube, Video Recording) but all of a sudden it all just broke. I had tried to record a video today and it froze. After that, everything is on the fritz, so I switched ROMs until it gets fixed.
