Help Sony Xperia S (LT26i) won't start up.

Good evening, android users.

I have a problem... about a couple of weeks ago, I updated my Sony Xperia S' sofware. Everything went fine until I tried to check my sms, mail and some other stuff that didn't even run. A cousin told me to re-update it and so I did.
After doing so, the phone didn't even boot, it just hag some tools icon. It did nothing; I tried doing the Power, Volume Up thingy and nothing.
I connected it to the PC and the only diffference is that a red LED turns on and ocasionally the Sony logo will appear, oh and the Power, Volume Up thingy only makes the phone vibrate (one time first, other three time later and then it goes black). I don't know what to do and honestly I'm a little bit low on cash so if any of you has or had the same problem, PLEASE help me.

TL;DR: After updating my Xperia S, it won't turn on.

Sorry to hear about this. However the good news is you can run a repair with the phone powered off and it should have you back up and running in about 10 mins. Just make sure you start the below process with the phone not connected to the PC:

1. Download the PC Companion software from Download for PC - Sony Smartphones (UK)
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
4. Phone Software Update.
5. Start.
6. Repair Phone
7. Continue
8. Accept data removal
9. Next
10. Wait for prepare
11. Select Phone
12. Follow the connection steps
